What do you guys think is the best way to build Timbersaw after 6.78? Bloodstone seems amazing if you are getting early kills and good farm, but obviously that's not going to happen every game. I've read some people saying Rod of Atos into Eul's is a good way to go after mana boots. Those items give you a decent mana pool, but the regen isn't even close to a bloodstone with some charges. Maybe I'm just using my abilities too often, but I always was TPing back to fountain to recharge. Would atos, eul's urn, and soul ring/sage's mask be a good idea?

Timber is not a right click by any means, so you can never be using his abilities too often. What you described makes sense and how I would build him if you get off to a bad start.

Just say no to bloodstone. The only thing it really gives you is mana, and with how cheap his chakram is now before 16, you reaaally don't need it.

Rob, Arcane Boots, Rod of Atos, Sheep is how I build him these days. Give him items that solve his weakness of no actual disables. Euls is a good alternative if you're poor. Force staff is good on him as a luxury.

Bloodstone best item on timber.

Let's you man up all the time and commit honorable sudoku when you fail.

I wouldn't overlook the charges at all, especially for a character that should be ganking and pretty hard to gank himself. Plus Bloodpact seems to be heavly overlooked. Force staff feels like an AM that has a blink dagger.

I don't know if it's too late to do this, but I'm going to try to sign up to be a caster in the Giant Bomb Dota 2 tournament. It seems to be mostly amateur casters, so it should be all in good fun.

I have seen your streams before and one can bearly hear you when you do talk. Good luck with that.

I tend to be louder when casting though. I have a few VODs out there of casting.

Edit: The real obstacle is turning out to be finding a username that isn't already taken. I've tried all of these so far.

I'm running out of ideas...

He really doesn't need gobs and gobs of mana, especially with the int buff and the chakra manacost buff. If you blow 1k mana and still don't kill the majority of enemy targets, then you're in a pretty damn bad position. You can get an Atos and an Ultimate Orb for the cost of a Bloodstone. That's all the mana you need and you get sweet utility from it.

Had a game with 2 other GAF'ers yesterday (Captain Fish and Prophet Steve if I remember correctly), anyway we get 2 other peeps via matchmaking. One of 'em decides to carry with Sven and he even get's babysat by Steve on the Rubick.

I know the number of wins tells you nothing but I kinda expect after a 1000 wins you know how to last hit and play a carry that is getting babysat.
Dude had a 28 minute bkb. Dude was babysat in safe lane on Radiant and after the laning fase he goes farming the other lanes and ignores all of the teamfights.

But seriously a 28 minute bkb...... Only purchase before that was threads...
Other team have a void that has BF, Mjolnir, threads and HotD.
The rest of us are kinda left to 4v5 every fight while he goes off farming and he still gets fuck all farm, I mean I need to see the replay where this is going wrong but I'm pretty sure it's Sven.

See the problem is that he didnt buy a BF first

Seppuku? sudoku is a math puzzle game.

you will last long here

Maybe on paper it sounds right but there have been so many times where I have wished I had more mana and want that bloodstone.

TBH, Bloodstone's mana regen on Timber with the INT buff is overkill. Rarely do I find myself running out of mana, which means all that unused mana is going to waste.

I still like it though, mostly because it builds out of arcane boots and lets me charge in recklessly.

man, euros really struggle at this game and are even more passive aggressive than NA'ers

and i'll get a take a brazilian over a russian any time. i think brazilians really do try, they just suffer from some sort of brain deficiencies. russians are 100% polution waste. no generalizations ofc

charge in recklessly so much skill

passive aggressive? you mean like, they imply they want to gank mid, and then dont do anything about it?

I always get BS on Timber, because i like to chain around the map like some kind of crazy Tarzan, and a BS keeps my mana up for when i actually need to fight

I'm not gonna lie. You guys got shitslammed.

Blame Living Armor.

Storm Spirit towerdiving the shit out of Earthshaker mid and I want to TP on it and finish him? LOL LIVING ARMOR, OVER HERE NOW ZAAAAAAAAAAAAAP, FUCK YOU

One Meepo with no health? LOL LIVING ARMOR

Tower in deny range? LOL LIVING ARMOR TIL WE GET THERE, THEN WE DENY IT.

Was on the winning side of a game where not only did we not lose any towers, but none of our towers had damage thanks to living armor. Whenever I was in danger of low health, healing power would come down from the sky. Yeah, it's a little overpowered.

Is living armour countered by DoTs at all? Like is it worth buying an urn or something to whittle away the charges, like you would with refraction. I actually don't know how dots work, is it generally a damage instance every second?

Urn is HP removal and it doesn't work to remove any of those things (or Linken's). You can also bottle right through Urn damage.

Only some dots that do enough damage can eat through Refraction/Living Armor they have varying damage intervals.

lol Boken

Its global from level 1

Thats why everyone hates it

I think that if they made it global at level 3-4 it would be less OP

Not only that, it lasts 15 seconds (long enough for someone to run away from something), blocks 7 instances of damage, blocking 80 DAMAGE per instance on level four, and pretty much everyone maxes this first, meaning he will have this maxed by 7. Nobody can afford to lose 80 damage on an attack that early in the game, that's why Nature's Prophet is fucking useless against it as I found out in my game earlier the hard way. It basically allows his teammates to tower dive much more (like the Storm Spirit did) and get away with it.

Oh really? Someone told me to buy an urn when I was mid against TA once.

But anyway, Orange are playing Slark against Tree just now. Apparently Dark Pact has ten damage instances over one second so that works pretty well.

Not sure if I've ever seen a well played necro in a pub game, low skill level yo

Its because everyone plays him as support and not as a carry

If i pick Necro and call mid im garanteed to get called out, usually with "lol noob necro is support get courier i will mid"

If you can get a few early ganks (easy with his ult), he can he brutal lategame

I like to go mana boots/treads -> cloak -> platemail -> hood of defiance -> assault cuirass -> aghs -> eye of skadi

Maybe throw in a euls staff or something for extra mana regen

urn doesnt burn anything, cause hp removal doesnt count as damage instances.

And yes living armor is destroying by dots, especially fast ones like rocket barrage or edict.

Pretty much, when some guy randomed necro and we were trying to sort out lanes I called for necro to go mid, the entire team called me an idiot including the necro who proceeded to go hard support and not do anything the whole game.

Also build sounds interesting might try it, what are your thoughts on a quick mek when you necro mid though

I don't get why people think Necro's hard support, he's terrible in a role. His only real contribution in the lane's to be slightly annoying with heart stopper aura, whilst at the same time he's a really vulnerable target with no escape mechanism. If you let him run mid he'll be able to gank with ease by 6 and become an unstoppable tank who's constantly nuking and healing allies when it gets to team fighting.

People not knowing heroes roles is one of the most annoying thing about pubs. The amount of time I've seen people pick bat and decide they'd be better contributing nothing in a duel lane rather than farming the jungle is maddening.

the problem with necro in low level pubs is that you'll just get KS'd all the time.
its a little bit better since 6.78, with the change to his ult.
