I wish I was actually able to watch that stream live, that was just too hype. Shit, most of the road to Evo season this year I've been busy with those awkward plans that you don't want but can't get out of, I'll most likely miss a majority of Evo itself as well, maybe except a few grand finals. I'm lucky I'll be able to watch CEO live.
I've been living off archives most of the season, kinda stinks.

::sigh:: Y'all gonna make me agree with chindogg now? Fine. The NRS community is really over reacting. It's still way too early to know all the matchups and nothing discovered so far is game breaking. Time wise, Evo is really close so I can understand not wanting new characters being added for the biggest tournament of the year--time to train and all that--but, people are talking about banning Scorpion now forever which is silly.
I get the anger: it's really frustrating when there's a character that is playing a different game than the rest of the cast and typically wins it. So, Viper in some versions of SF4 and Claw in ST suck and we all hate them. We'd probably all hate them even more if we had to pay $5 to win with them, but that's beside the point and not enough to call for a ban two weeks in. Especially in a game like Injustice where everyone has dumb stuff.
How many top players have complained about Viper or ST Claw? Pretty much all of them and we laughed and made Gifs about how salty they were. But, for some reason in the NRS community, if top players complain about a character everyone jumps on the Ban-waggon.

Is there anything in Scorpion's brokeness that can't be patched out? It seems like the controversy revolves around him having a bunch of stuff that is character specific so it shouldn't take messing with game systems to nerf the shit out of him.
Is he allowed at EVO?. It'll make Bob/Law Tekken finals look better in comparison, I can't wait for the glorious amounts of salt.

No, not really. We at GGA are not quitting because of Scorpion. We do not think Scorpion is the best character and a few of us have spoken up saying he shouldn't be banned.

I assume because of their unique setup requirements (CRTs, Gamecubes), they have fewer Melee setups than what they would have for other tournaments of a similar size which means they have to space it out over a longer period of time.
Asking a dumb question, but why can't regular wiis and HDTVs not work?

I don't know anything about smash, but judging from the way these things have gone with other games, probably because these things introduce changes to the game that the community isn't down with or something.

I imagine partially for optimal play and partially for consistency's sake. I think Evo's done running smash in ways that the smash community isn't 100% onboard with, it just creates a ton of unnecessary hassle and ill will.

The vast majority of HDTVs have unacceptable lag. Finding enough units of a model that doesn't lag is probably too difficult and cost-prohibitive.
The other games are running on monitors, not HDTVs. These can't be used for Smash because they don't have component or composite inputs.
I don't know if Nova is lame, but when someone beats me with him and he says his "Blue blazes... I'M AWESOME" win quote, I want to punch the nearest baby.

It's the standard stick most folks use, but wait to see if you get any sales- odds are you can save $30 if you get around CEO or EVO. Soul Calibur stick might be cheapest. You might be able to get even cheaper used.
Going with my gut on Injustice and thinking it would end up broken was the right call.
they always sell sticks at the venues. do they let in just anyone though? or do you have to buy a pass?
MCZ will have a booth there so yeah sticks should be available.
They had spectator passes last year, if I remember correctly.

It looks like any other madcatz sticks which are alright. You should also think about getting a qanba or an eightarc. They are priced the same but are dual modded as well.
