Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | June 2013 | Late Ports and Late Threads

LBP Vita isn't a port : / I have no clue as to why Sony went with that title.
One of the worst mistakes Sony's made was not naming it "Little Big Planet 3" - it certainly lived up to that title. Instead, by dubbing it "Little Big Planet Vita" (ugh), all the uneducated people walking blindly into Gamestop would assume that it's the same exact game as the PS+ freebie they just downloaded on their PS3s.

Idiots. I thought HSG6 would start a trend, but oh well.

The sound levels on Muramasa and Hotline Miami are perfect. I find the sound levels on PSVita games are far too low.. Games like LBP and AC:Liberation are good examples of poor volume levels.. Just a little observation.

Confirmation of this here:

"Q-Games is excited and proud to announce a partnership with UK-based Double Eleven Ltd., the team behind the impressive conversion of Little Big Planet and Limbo for PlayStation Vita. While we’re holding the exact details behind our partnership close to the vest, we’ll have more specifics about our exciting collaborations in the near future. The future of the PixelJunk series has never looked brighter."

Sounds like it's Vita related since they cite the two ports there.

Wooooo! Day one. Double Eleven on a roll.

I would love for them to bring PJ Eden to the vita. Could be glorious.

well Minna No Golf 6 was the Japanese name, it's Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational in the west.

also Vita got a mainline Minagol just because of the huge decline of that series, it's not longer able to handle main console release and then a different handheld release like PS2/PSP era.

Not surprised the series is dying - it's a dinosaur.

SCEJ really fucked the Vita release by waiting so many months to patch in async multiplayer. What a colossal oversight in this day and age.

Minagol main problem was not that it's old series but that it didn't improve at all over the generations, play the PSone or PSP ones then jump to Vita, it's the same damn thing over and over with minimal change.

This is the same issue happened to Konami's Pawapuro which once back in the old days was also the hottest shit in Japan, with arcade sport game you need to improve and change a lot of things every gen.

Every day that goes by without an Ape Escape Vita announcement is a sad day indeed. Weird that SCEA keeps their franchises going long enough to see them turn to shit (SOCOM, Resistance etc.) while Japan just drops them when people are still asking for more (LocoRoco, Patapon, Ape Escape).

Sorry, but this is one of the dumbest complaints I have read in a while. People are used to game titles being named "IP-platform", especially with handheld games. They surely can comprehend that it was a new game and not a port. Also, PS+ buyers aren't uneducated most of the time.
Nintendo does it all the time - Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart DS, Mario Kart Wii...

Uh, I'm pretty sure there's some awful Ape Escape spinoffs.

no. there are sealed pools that you have reign over (6 random packs of 14 cards) but those sealeds are locked in stone once you're done. not really the same

the other duels don't give you even enough control over your deck because as you unlock cards for a current deck, you cannot omit cards that are part of the normal 60. You end up with a deck above 60 cards which is a huge no-no

I think WotC will never allow people to make their own decks in DotP, because they want you to switch to Magic Online if you want more, there, just a playset of some competitive cards cost more than DotP with all the DLC.

Is worm on vita a news?

EDIT:
no lol
Team17.com has images and trailers on it's homepage...

Lately every time I leave my Vita on the dock with a download in progress it always pauses the download when it goes into sleep mode. Does anyone know how to get it to continue to download? When I first got the system I never had this issue as long as I didn't manually put it into sleep mode.

I want to know this too.

But... HoMM3 isn't a #jrpg O_o

I'd love some of the Magic games on this thing tooI
I know lol, but everyone was already voting for type0 so i decided to try getting homm and fallout too... Knowing the result of the poll, well i made a mistake.

Konami hasn't made a real Yu-Gi-Oh! game since 2011. There's been nothing on 3DS either.

Imo it's all zexal fault, that series looks just plain bad.

While I agree that Zexal is bad (and a complete clone of the original series in many aspects ('spirit' partner inhabiting a special necklace, important in the past, talented at dueling, to scratch the surface), Tag Force 4-6 were crap compared to 1-3. They scrapped the constant storyline in favor of solely mini storylines as you fill hearts. And they removed the explorable 3D maps for sidescrolling ones. Huge downgrade that really killed the fun of it.

Apparently that Vacant Sky Awakening, that Kickstarter RPG, is going to be a native Vita game now instead of Playstation Mobile.

Probably a good move.

Mine never pauses even when I place it in sleep mode.

I'm starting up Persona 4: Golden again, after my memory card hadn't saved my game some months ago. I'm now gonna get back into it, cause I loved what I had played of it so far. :)

I also saw that Metal Gear Solid for PSone is currently on sale again.

PSA! I was successfull in downloading 4 separate items from the store. Usually, it would have crashed at the Preparing to Download screen. Do you think it's finally fixed?

Cool, didn't realize there was a no-questioned-asked 15 day free trial of PS+ in Japan.

A lot of redundant games on offer (Rayman, which I'd rather play the ENG version, Ninja Gaiden Sigma+, and a couple of visual novels) but there is a lot of PSP games and a Robot fighting game that looks playable. And supposedly like 150 free PS1 classics?

Wow, thanks for the heads up! This won't auto renew or anything will it? I don't even have a credit card stored in my JP account.

I'm expecting Ubisofts "Child of Light " to be for Vita. lots of signs pointing to it and the fact that its getting unveiled at GDC.. i mean come on!

can't wait to see what it is.
