The Last of US did pretty good. Surprised that DKC is #2 though, you'd think people wouldn't care all that much about a downgraded port of a nearly 3 year old game. Oh, and Wii U continues to sell poorly.

Pretty boring week apart from TLOU.
 
Everything saw a small decline, except the Vita.

Surprised to see Last of Us, but then again maybe i shouldn't be, nothing major launched that week it seems.

PS3 at sub 10k while Last of Us rules this week just goes to show either the console needs a price drop or its long since reached the now upper limit of home console gaming in Japan. Which is a bit of a worry.

I don't get why people complain about the Wii U sales every week, when the plans haven't been put into motion yet. No Wii U games out? Of course its sales aren't going to increase.Not to mention this is the summer lull that hits Japan and always has weakened hardware sales.

If it hits December, we have Mario and it's still like this, then sure, but come on.

PS3 is still pretty damn expensive though considering how long it has been on the market. Same price as basic WiiU... It really needs price cut.

Because even if the games aren't out just yet Nintendo needs to be trying harder to get customers to buy it. Beyond upcoming games, are they advertising the thing at all?

My impression, and Japanese gafers can correct me if I am wrong, is that basically around the world Nintendo has been on radio silence advertising wise until they start getting consistent software releases.

I *expect* Nintendo to start advertising heavily for Pikmin 3 starting very soon (I assume the Direct was the kick off)

This was billed as the final, ultimate Taiko game correct?

I assume that means a Taiko Wii U game will be coming this holiday...
 
Very nice for TLOU indeed.

9 year old handheld almost doing as good as the Wii U though, ouch. It definitely needs an exclusive killer app or something to guide people over to the console.
