Defense could not have been softer and gentler.
Her not being bright isn't an excuse for being so cunty, so I'd say it's not going to have any impact.

I'm white, and for the last 7-8 years, I've lived across the street/down the block from a convenience store. I've walked down to the store plenty of times at night to get something. I imagine this kind of scenario in my head:
I notice someone following me around in their car, and, feeling uncomfortable, I move away from the road. I then notice them park their car and continue following me on foot. At this point, "oh shit" is running through my mind. Within 3-5 minutes, they've killed me. It's hard to imagine a scenario where they'd be legally justified in killing me here, regarldess of how the gaps are filled in.
Imagining that I end up dead, it's hard to see any point where I did something wrong.... Since I did nothing wrong, why the hell should my killer not be held criminally liable?
How can people not put themselves in Trayvon's shoes? Or is it that they're putting themselves in Zimmerman's shoes and thinking "... There's no words to describe how badly I fucked this up, no way to fix the damage I've done, but do you REALLY have to put me away for 30 years?" Just because the American penal system is excessively harsh doesn't absolve you of guilt. What George did was murder, and while I don't think he should have to spend the next 30-50 years of his life in jail, or have all his future job prospects ruined, I do believe society has a duty to formally acknowledge his wrongdoings, and that he needs to serve time (5-10 years). Out of respect for the young man whose life was wrongfully taken away from him, and who was taken away from his friends and family.

I can't imagine the sort of person who would have the balls to do something like that. I am unarmed, grappling with someone with a couple dozen pounds on me, stifling his cries for help while simultaneously able to beat his ass and I can be all cool and cold and shit saying "You're going to die!" when I see he has a gun?
Never met anyone so hard in my life.
I think Zimmerman went on record to say that Martin said "...you got me" when he was shot. But that might just be fud.

This is sarcasm parodying what Zimmerman claimed happened right?
because there's nothing to suggest that zimmerman identified himself to trayvon or that trayvon had any reason to beleive he WASN'T in danger.
All the details being argued over (who was on top, who threw the first punch, whether or not the fight was on grass, whether zimmerman was following trayvon or returning to his car) and the attacks on witness credibility, it's a dog and pony show that's just meant to confuse everyone and muddy the waters. The gaps are hazy, but it seems like Trayvon was under assault, and that at no point did Zimmerman attempt to identify himself to Trayvon and diffuse the situation, meaning that Trayvon was still, legally, under assault when the physical violence broke out, and if he was being assaulted, then there is no way, shape, or form, that zimmerman has a right to self-defense. In fact, it is Trayvon, not Zimmerman, who can defend himself here, so Trayvon would legally have the right to throw the first punch, or to pummel zimmerman to his death.
This trial is full of red herrings.
Have you heard Zimmerman speak? Guy isn't exactly Barry White.
