So to sum it up:

They have him on tape with the victim.

They have him on tape entering the industrial park at the time of the murder.

They have workers in the park confirming they had gunshots at this time.

They have him on tape leaving the industrial park after the gunshots.

They have him on his home surveillance system with the murder weapon in his hands after the murder.

They found a gun casing from the murder weapon in the rental car.

This, not to mention him destroying his home security system and cell phone. What an absolute moron. My heart goes out to the victim's family. I hope justice is served in this case.
At this point, he should have had someone take a picture of him committing the murder, then took the picture to the mall to have it screen printed on a t-shirt for him to wear around.

But according to Hernandez's attorney, "It is not a strong case."

Which makes me wonder what his definition of a strong case is.

Its sad when you have millions of dollars, are great at your profession, and yet you can't get your mind out of the gutter. This guy has thrown his life away for nothing. Taking pics with a gun? Having a tattoo of "money on my mind" on his stomach? Sounds like a typical thug who's listened to a bit too much rap.

This is the same guy who was talking to kids and doing charity work for the community. Sheesh.

Gangsta rap made him do it.

The crazy thing is that they almost always save more for the actual court case.

There is almost too much evidence. Seriously, getting even one piece of video of a suspect anywhere near a crime must be pretty rare.

It's like he couldn't do any more besides possibly leaving the victims blood on his hands and calling the police. "not a strong case"?

So you could say tape was coming back to haunt a Pats player?

hmmm.

Not shocked at all. I'm telling you, dude must have been pretty dirty for awhile. This was not his first rodeo.

I'm not sure the marginal evidence they have on Hernandez is going to hold up in court.

wat

As I stated above, they even save stuff for the actual court case. Most likely, they're sitting on the gun evidence and other stuff to release during the case itself.

If one of his boys turned on him, Hermurdez may as well cop a plea. Of course, that poor informant is going to have to go into witness protection.

What did he mean by that? That was a weird statement wasn't it? It's not a strong case insofar as Hernandez's attorney is practically giving up before trying? Or they don't have a strong case against him? I hate lawyer speak. That was such a weird-ass statement.

There was another part to that where his attorney said it was just circumstantial.

His attorney if full of shit.

I can't for the life of me get over how brazen this was.. there was almost zero attempt to hide this until after the fact.. and even then it was half-assed. The body was left in the open, a rental car nearby.. he was seen with the man by multiple people that day.. there was text messages.

This was some spur of the moment gang-style execution by a multi-millionaire rising star NFL player.

What a piece of shit.

I believe the full statement from Hernandez's attorney was: "It is at bottom a circumstantial case. It is not a strong case," implying some sort of slam-dunk acquittal, which seemed totally out of touch with reality.

That evidence is all circumstantial.

Doesn't mean he will get off though. Scott Peterson was convicted on purely circumstantial evidence.

You realise any evidence other than direct DNA evidence and a video of the murderer committing the crime is circumstantial? Circumstantial evidence is more than enough to prove guilty beyond reasonable doubt when it's as overwhelmingly conclusive as this evidence is.

EDIT: See ostrichKing's post below. People have this weird misconception that 'circumstantial evidence' is somehow not enough.

I don't think the police actually found the gun that was used to murder Lloyd.

Either the casings match, or a separate gun of Aaron's (if they found one), while not matching Lloyd's murder, matched the previous one.

Someone is going to cut a deal whether it be Hernandez or his goons. No honor amongst thieves or in this case murderers. Someone is going to roll over and it would seem to be Hernandez he will roll over and be playing football in less than 3 years right ray ray.

If they have him premeditatedly executing a guy and he pulled the trigger (which is what it sounds like the da believes) he aint getting out in 3 years and probably ain't playing football ever again, plea or no plea.

I can only hope your right , but if Big Ben can get away with what he did or ray ray get away with it there's nothing saying he can't neither. I have seen better cases still lose.
