Not many seem to be picking up on the other angle of this story in that Hernandez and the dude killed both had kids by the sisters. I wonder if there is fallout between them. It is going to be crazy growing up and later finding out the other father killed/was killed by the other.

Yeah I was thinking about this too. This guy ruined so many lives.

You know this is going to be a Law & Order episode in a couple of years anyways. Just need to find a way to make it Special Victims Unit.

Heard some interview on the radio with one of the officers/police who was near Hernandez...

He mentioned how he was relaxed and polite for most of the day and then asked a question 'what do I need to do when I'm thirsty?'

The officer being interviewed said he explained 'you'll get it when we bring it, so dinner time'.

That's when reality fucking hit him. 60 years of green beans.

I heard the Junkies (DC sports radio group) talk about something along those lines this morning. One of the guys said Hernandez wouldn't eat a decent meal for the rest of his life. And that he only gets an hour outside of his cell each day. No requests. They bring you what you are allowed to get.

It's terrifying to think about living the rest of your life like that. :/

Exactly.

Either Hernandez or his people are going to cut a deal. If Hernandez was actually the one to shoot Lloyd, he needs to make a deal ASAP because testimony to that effect from someone there and it's game/life over. If he didn't do the killing, make a deal and take a lesser charge and roll on the one who killed Lloyd. Still get jail time but not life.

He'll get life anyway most likely since it's pretty clear that regardless of who fired the shots, he was the main conspirator and set it up. I don't see the DA offering a deal. There's too much evidence.

He was pretty good when he didn't drop the ball. The last part is what worries me, though. I can't imagine how he is going to deal with a soap bar.

What happens if he says he was scared for his life so he stfu and didn't say anything until he was arrested and suspected?

Then what happens?

Again he's innocent until proven guilty (yes it looks like he did it) but I've read somewhere that he was maybe scared for his life, etc., before this shooting due to his possible ties to a gang when he was 17 and that he was trying to leave that life and move forward but couldn't?

NFL star Aaron Hernandez is being investigated in connection with a July 2012 double-murder in Boston, a law enforcement source close to the investigation reportedly told CNN.

The source reportedly says the Boston Police Department has located and impounded a sliver SUV with Rhode Island plates that was placed at the scene of the murders. According to CNN, investigators now believe that Hernandez was renting the SUV at the time of the murders.

Daniel Jorge Correia de Abreau, 29, and Safiro Teixeira Furtado, 28, both of Dorchester, were killed when someone fired at the BMW they were in during the early morning hours of July 16, 2012 in Boston's South End. A third person was wounded.

The gunman reportedly fired the shots from a silver SUV with Rhode Island plates before fleeing the scene.

No arrests have been made in those murders.

The Boston Globe reports investigators believe the 2012 murders were a result of a fight that broke out at Cure, a nightclub in the South End, between the two men who were killed and a group that included Hernandez.

Suffolk County District Attorney spokesman Jake Wark told CBS Boston the case is "the subject of an open and active investigation," but offered no further comment.

According to the Globe, investigators now believe that Odin Lloyd may have had information about Hernandez's alleged role in the double-murder.

If this were a law and order episode the gun would be stashed away in the Patriots practice facility in Tom Brady's locker.
I hope this stays in the news long enough to get an SNL sketch with Brady making decisions with Tebow on one shoulder and Hernandez on the other.

At least with the death penalty you know you get a last meal before you die. This dude is going to be eating slop and ish for the rest of his life.

His body language is so bizarre in all the pictures/videos I see of him. Does he realize what's happening, or he just doesn't give a shit?

Any emotion that he shows will screw him over in terms of public opinion. Smiling? Killer! Shrugging off the charges? Coldblooded! Fear or trepidation? Guilty!

Right now he just seems like a lost boy. Nothing damning about that!

Holy shit this story is getting crazier by the second.

It's awful. Guy made a point going from a 1.3 million home to a 12x12 cell-ish for the next 60 years. Fucking idiot.

New tweet is fucking crazy.

This guy is going away for a long time.

Feel so bad for the wife and kid and the guy who died and his loved ones.

Well i'd tell him good luck with that defense unless the DA is lying about the evidence they were talking about in the court today and that the judge saw.

Hernandez clears waivers:

On Wednesday, the New England Patriots announced that they no longer want Aaron Hernandez on the team. On Thursday, the other 31 NFL teams made it official that they don’t want Hernandez either.

Hernandez passed through the NFL’s waiver system and went unclaimed.

That comes as no surprise, coming after Hernandez was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Hernandez, who was denied bail today and faces possible life imprisonment if convicted, may never get out of jail.

NFL won’t act on Hernandez until someone tries to sign him:

The NFL will continue to do nothing, until it has a reason to do something.

“NFL clubs were advised today that if Aaron Hernandez enters into a player contract prior to the resolution of the charges pending against him, the contract will not be approved or take effect until Commissioner Roger Goodell holds a hearing,” the league said in a statement forwarded to PFT by NFL spokesman Greg Aiello. “The purpose of the hearing would be to determine whether Hernandez should be suspended or face other action prior to the charges being resolved.”

...

As a result, Hernandez’s status won’t be relevant unless and until he is cleared on murder charges.

Aaron Hernandez’s mom: “He will be cleared of all these charges”:

Terri Hernandez, Hernandez’s mother, was at her home in Bristol, just hours before her son was arraigned in court.

“All I can say is that he will be cleared of all these charges in the end,” she said as she walked inside her home. “Just let it play out until the end.”

Sounds like he was doing this stuff prior to getting moneyed up. Harder to trace you when you're some anonymous kid.

He had money this year and 2012 when these things happened. He's just not very bright. On top of everything, he gets the most noticeable color of all.

Exactly what I was thinking. Not even a hint of concern on his face. Or maybe he's just pissed because he got caught. After all, he DID rent a vehicle and destroy his phone =p
