Did she really say the person on the bottom was face down? ABC's Twitter says both.

It complicates things a little if he was face down when she saw Zimmerman on top.

Guy on top shoots guy on the bottom who rolls over (after the guy on top gets off) and then dies face down. That's complicated?

That's what I've heard, person on bottom was face down.

So...what does that mean?

If all this was after the gunshot, does it mean that GZ was underneath when he shot, and had slid out by the time people showed up, or did GZ shoot TM in the back while on top of him. What did the ballistics say about entry/exit wounds?

The entry wound was in the front.

The defense will probably argue that he was checking on him after the fact.

Nice sleeveless dress in court. Florida casual.

Good point. I'm guessing that the instructions they'll be given are set, but maybe that's not the case. Anyway, would rather not speculate and sounds like this discussion has happened before.

edit: Dude Abides dropping actual knowledge in these parts. I'm a fan.

Thanks!

Is it a calculated risk they might only take if they sense things are going well for them? It seems like it would be taking a hell of a chance to not have his version of events in there.

I agree. Then it would just be based on circumstantial evidence. We now have two witnesses saying that the guy on top got up after the struggle ended.

Cool, thanks.

Welcome.

Why is it racist? Serious question. I've never understood why "Cracker" should be offensive to me.

Truthfully, Trayvon probably didn't either, and just heard it from his family or friends.

I never knew what it meant either. Same as "honky." I never got what either meant until I was older, and had one of my older relatives (who grew up in the 40's and 50's), explain to me that "cracker" was a reference to the whip cracking slave owners of back in the day.

It's definitely an offensive term for white people, but I don't think many people, including a 17 year old boy, knows why or the significance of it.

Interesting, she's saying Zimmerman had his hand on his forehead, like someone thinking "oh shit what have I done" might, rather than on the back of his head where the cuts were.

Wait, if Zimmerman had his hand on the back of his head and his head was bleeding (from allegedly being beaten into the ground), why haven't we seen any pictures of blood on his hands?

The way the defense attorney was standing his left hand was on his forehead near the temple. I may have missed something though.

I believe if the police did their job properly that night, there would be no international spectacle.

A witness is currently hiking for 6 weeks in the New Mexico desert so the prosecution wants to use his deposition testimony? Is that what they just said?

Supposedly women tend to dislike other women who are attractive. I wonder if that will make them tend to disbelieve her.

Eh, I'm talking about a sleazy lawyer acting sleazy. Hate to say this but people don't really like lawyers. Having sat on a jury a few times, the way a lawyer acts in court really does affect the jury, for better or worse.

basically, yeah. That he could be available to Skype.

Regarding the witnesses, I believe Zimmerman made the statement to police that after shooting Martin he ended up pushing him off of him and getting on top to restrain him. Did the witnesses see the change of positions or did the person on top remain there during the altercation?
