I can confirm that it works fine when sideloaded from the PS3. It's currently on my Vita.
I'll follow up on that and ask if MGS1 is worth playing if you're a newbie to the series, or if you'll only be scared off by antiquated control schemes and the like? I'm curious about the MGS series since getting the HD collection for free via PS+, but from what people are saying about MGS1 it sounds like it might be a bit of a chore getting into now..

It's fun. Just approach it like it's an old arcade game like Pacman or something, that has an immense story for some reason, and all the face buttons do the opposite of what they should.
I try not to oversell people, even if I love something.

It's a good game even with wonky ass controls. You should at least try it if you are interested in getting into the Metal Gear Series.
When the developers are ready to announce them? It's not his job to announce them.
And to be fair, people keep asking him what's happening. All he can say is "things are coming".
it definitely is. i played it for the first time in 2007 (i know that was 6 years ago, but it was still during the ps3 days) and it was totally fine. you'll probably find it jarring for the first 5 minutes (especially when you first get into a pixelated ventilation shaft), but it is still very playable and you get totally used to it. it's amazing!

Yeah, but we can't let the angry people keep the happy people from getting ongoing communication from a real person. The alternative is a mega-CEO that gives a handful of interviews every year or so.
It only incurs wrath from people who expect the world and AAA 12 times a year, really.
We know what we have in our hands as enthusiasts... and probably have more realistic expectations. If anyone's following him to mine for AAA mega-hit gold and breaking news for a quickly thrown together IGN video... they're doing it wrong imo.

God I wish we knew if Terraria was gonna be cross-buy or not. I've got £20 burning a hole in my PSN wallet. Would grab Terraria PS3 if I knew it was going to be a cross-buy title later...
I was gonna recommend some PSM games but all the best ones (Yu-Nama, Passing Time, etc.) cost more than that.
I don't think any indie game has ever been not cross-buy.
But personally I'm still waiting though.
mine is the horse head. For me the make the guys get hit by a door and instant kill it's very good for my gameplay style xP

It definitely would. I've played some pretty cool board game recreations of stuff like Ghost Castle on Little Big Planet 2 & LBP Vita... I would be 100% behind well-made board games with adhoc and online multiplayer.
Hell, it'd be nice if I could play Pure Chess in real time instead of through PSN message relay, like I'm an old widower living on a remote farm in the early 1900's, sending penpal letters back and forth to the only other guy I know who survived the Civil War.

Just a Teaser Like This at gamescom Would Be amazing, but extremely unlikely, and it didnt have to contain these exact games but any of the AAA ones that are being worked on

I played it like 6 months ago and thought it was really awesome.
No, they shouldn't port The Twin Snakes. Metal Gear Solid is the best game ever released and I have played it many times through the 90s and 00s. Playing it on PSone, PC and PSP. I love it and is gonn but it again now that it's on sale. But yeah, the control scheme will need time getting used to for a new player but don't miss out on the atmosphere, story, voice acting and music which still holds up today.

Right next month that 32gb will be mine. Not now bought all ready enough and the month isn't even begon lol. Only thing i got today was screen protection and ordered through bol.com a dutch website NFS Most Wanted for 20 euro's.
Also to my suprise Uncharted was free for PS+..i didn't know that so i cleaned up some space to download it. Never played uncharted but it is a good game for sure. Are there more games that are in PS+ that i can get instantly now? I have Rayman and that other little indie game.

I'm actually reminded I have a 4GB memory card lying around somewhere - so I can basically link that to my American PSN and join you guys in Toro's Friend Network? And then use my 32GB for my EU PSN.
I think VLR is currently free on US PS Plus.

Not sure what the conversation is about but any post that has Gravity Rush as a recommendation is a post that I can get behind. But seriously, grab Gravity Rush so we can get a sequel. I need more Gravity Queen.

I say American and yes its really really good. I was skeptical of it at first with its high price but its polish and amount of content is incredible.
Also check out Cytus Lambda on the Playstation Mobile Store. It's very reminiscent of DJ Max but without the high price tag (10 songs are free and you pay $11.99 for 60 more songs)
Did something happen? What wasn't hype? There being a lot of Vita games on display at E3 show floor? I thought the same thing happened at E3 2012.

The 4gb is being phased out this year and a 64gb is being introduced. Not exactly sure of the timetable.
Yayy, it sucks for me cause I still have one but it means that games now have a 8GB minimum instead of a of 4GB one so bigger games with less compression and sacrifice can be made! Hey maybe that's a secret Gamescon announcement, X-X2 is now on one cart for Vita.
Maybe all those 200$ jokes for 64GB will come true now! Thanks for always giving us a feed Mortimer!

Yeeeesssss. Glad I've held off getting a 32GB card, although my 16GB has been a nightmare with all the games. D:
Hopefully all Vitas start getting bundled with at least 8GB cards, too.
