There are widescreen mods and UI mods that makes the game possible to play in proper 16:9 format.
Do you have a link ?
It will be.
I hope so.
IV is a disaster on that front.

Do people play games with 2.37 aspect ratio and black bars? I dislike the trend of screenshots like that since my personal opinion is that it seems more of an artistic screenshot thing than an actual gameplay screenshot. However, I may very likely be in the minority.

Do people play games with 2.37
Whoa crazy, that looks as wide as a dual-monitor setup. I still feel like something closer to the golden ratio is more pleasing on the eye, but I imagine people with dual monitors or 2.37 monitors also find the screenshots look better on them, whereas on my monitor they look squished.Yes. Especially when you have this.
There are a lot of games I prefer at 2.37:1 over 16:9 now. But being able to specify FOV is a must.

The thing is, that monitor is £350-400. At that price I can get a decent 1440p monitor, so I feel that getting the U2913WM is a waste.

Must be fantastic to have a monitor like that if a game doesn't support the resolution.
but if you're a diehard fan of that aspect ratio
I cannot fathom how fewer pixels costs a fortune more than 2560x1440.
Supply and demand. The same reason why 1080p monitors suddenly got dirt cheap, because TVs, PC monitors and everything in between started using them. Also the same reason why 16:10 monitors tend to be quite expensive, because so few panels are made.
Could you recommend me one around that price?
Up for me.Every minus picture seems down today for me

Minus has been shit lately.
-snip- Abload, such a great site.
I just play games at 4K and then crop shots to anamorphic ratios in MS Paint if I think that aspect ratio is appropriate for the shot.I only took the shots to see what the fuss was all about, since everybody seems to bloody do it.
I'll be going back to my 1920x1080 16:9.
My only beef with Abload seems to be that the speed with which images load is highly variable and often atrocious. Probably the same can be said for Flickr.
I just love this car, also the new layout is awesome especially on laptops

I downsampled the newest Total War 2 panorama to 7928x1080. Source

Does the game really look that good? I'm rather impressed by something with battles on that scale.
Got Fallout 1 quite a while ago and finally started playing it. I really like the atmosphere of the game.

Have you played it before? If not, run to the left of your vault. There's a nice surprise waiting for you there :)

Wow. Totally missed those.
I've never played Fallout 1 and 2. I see they're both on GoG. Might actually pick them up and play through them.
