Xbox Live: Ultimate Game Sale - Now Live - Great Deals!

Tempted to buy the Lego games for the kids. And Crysis for $5 is mighty tempting. Sure, my computer can eat that game alive, but proper gamepad support would be very welcome. Also morbidly curious to see how it runs on the 360.

Well, I had a bunch of MS Points, so I bought Bordelands 2, Farcry 3, Crysis, Bulletstorm.

All for 30 euros, even if the summer of arcade is a disappointment, I don't care any longer lol.

I also really want to see The Witcher's 2 price.

As a xbox 360 owner who has not turned on the system in a month or two, this would make me boot it up, however I don't have the hard drive space to jump on these deals and I refuse to pay for overpriced hard drive (unless they have gone down in prices that isn't just pure gouging)

Just bought Perfect Dark Zero for $3, looking forward to giving that a shot once I get internet in my new apartment.

I'm also strongly considering getting the Hammerlock, Scarlett, Mechromancer, and Psycho DLC for BL2 for a total of $20. I've heard mixed reviews about UVHM so I may skip that for the time being, but it's only $2.50 so it's very tempting lol...

Picked up Borderlands 2 and Far Cry 3 yesterday for £8.99. If Tomb Raider and XCOM end up at £15 or below they'll be a buy too...

Pretty smart idea to announce in advance what games are going to be on sale or else I'd be already bummed out by today's deals.

You don't have a USB stick (or two) lying around? Should be good for at least 2 games pr stick.

Also, you don't have to download all the games at once (just when you need them). So if you clear up 7-8 gb on your current HDD, you'll be fine (just play one game at a time).

It really is. I love the Empire of the Rising Sun! :D

You can't issue commands in pause mode. But the game is not too hectic and the controls are good, incl. an easy way of unit grouping and fast (mini) map movement.

OK thanks for the response! I always loved being able to pause and issue commands in Rise of Empires.. Let my thoughtful strategic self plod along at leisure ;)

Picked up Borderlands 2 and Max Payne 3 yesterday. Will probably get Bulletstorm before this is all over. Maybe a double-dip on Mass Effect.

Still waiting on Forza Horizon and L4D2 pricing.

Contemplating rebuing bulletstorm, such a good price for an undervalued game, will hold off and see what horizon and gears are priced at.

Anyone have some thoughts on Bulletstorm? I am a huge Gears fan and it looks similar. For $5 I'm tempted to pick it up. It looks like a mindless shooter with some cool mechanics, is that how it plays?

Can't wait to see how Metal Gear, Hitman, Witcher, and Forza price out.

It's just a stupid fun type of shooter. Go in and start blasting enemies with crazy guns and stuff. Nothing like Gears gameplay wise. It was kind of fun, I think $5 isn't a bad price at all.

Its a really great game, its similar in style to Gears but different in gameplay (obviously first person) and its faster. You should definitely get it.

I decided to get Far Cry 3 fun game, I was going to get a bunch of the $5 and less games instead, but I did that the last sale then ended up playing those like 2 hours total, played Far Cry 3 longer than that already.

Nothing for me today, waiting for The Orange Box and LFD2, I own all the other top games.

Just got BL2 for 9.99. Cant beat that at all. Some of my buddies also bought it as well. Kind wondering if i should get some of the dlc while its on sale. Thinking about the psycho pack...

Is PDZ worth it for $3? Is the single player campaign good?
Eh, not really.

The first three missions were fairly good, but then the rest of the campaign is rushed and boring.

Just buy the XBLA version of the original PD next time it is on sale.

Are the daily prices valid until the end of the week?
Far cry 3 is still 9,99 in Germany, even though it should be yesterday's price.

The combat in Bulletstorm is some of the best I have experienced. It's a really nice system that rewards skill and creativity. Really good stuff that takes the more standard FPS system and turns it into a higher skill endeavour that reminds me a good deal of older 16 bit shooters.

The story, characters and pretty much everything else is super offenstive over the top dudebroness that thinks it's tounge in cheek, but in reality is not. Lots of F bombs and crass jokes that are unnecessary.

I read a review that called it both the smartest and dumbest FPS of this generation and I think that might be about right.

I actually thought that the story was one of the better ones compared to the usual FPS garbage, but I know that I'm in the minority with that.

I already have that one, and it's fucking great, love the SP campaign, I'm pretty close to beat it on Perfect Agent btw.

So Rare apparently really dropped the ball with the sequel (prequel?) it seems, I was hoping PDZ to be decent at least.

Pretty much. It quickly becomes apparent that everything after the first few missions was rushed because Rare needed to get the game out in time for launch.

PDZ is a pretty decent co-op game.

I think it actual plays very much like the original, but the ropey graphics and controls made it tough to play even in 2005.

If you like a good stealth game then I'd say why why, it's so cheap you can barely lose.

It's rock hard too, I could never finish it on The hardest setting on singleplayer, even with the gun with infinite ammo that let you turn invisible. Evil.

I just bought it this morning. I figure it's worth $3 just to check it out and see what the game is like. If I enjoy it, that's great. If I don't, well I'm only out $3.
