Xbox Live: Ultimate Game Sale - Now Live - Great Deals!

What kid goes "Hey guys I wanna play Monopoly or Table Tennis on the 360 in living room, awww yeah fuck physical copies"?
 
I don't know about Monopoly (why would you play that on a screen when half the fun is playing with bank notes ?), but it's much more convenient to start a quick session of a game like Table Tennis when it's always available on the hard drive.
It's pure laziness, but 5 minutes of gaming are not worth the effort of looking for the right disk and putting it in the tray in place of whatever is there, while if all it requires is a few button presses, why not ?
 
5+ hours into Divinity 2 and I am just saying all you fucks should buy this for $5 this week. If only for mind-reading NPC's.
 
Bit on Max Payne 3. Couldn't pass that up for $10.

Waiting patiently for Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider. Hopefully in the $15 range but I am not holding my breath.

I just bought it based on this post. Not sure when I'll have time to play it, but it was only 520 points. Hard to complain about a game at that price point.

C'mon son haven't you been waiting for this sale for longest? I know I have and so I bought all of the above as soon the price changed (save for the Mechromancer which I bought during a previous sale). I would definitely say to jump on it or else you're gonna be kicking yourself in the OT for not having done so.

Tempted to check out Perfect Dark Zero considering the fact that I bought Perfect Dark impulsively for 400 MSP.

It would seem that CDProject reworked the game somehow for the download version to fit it all in 7.8gb. I can't say if there's any more compression or anything vs. the disc version, though there is doubtless some (small) differences.

I also own Max Payne 3 from Games on Demand, and that games works differently: you download disc 1, then disc 2 is split up into three ~2gb DLC packs that you download also, giving a total game size of ~12.5gb on the hard drive.

There are instances of Games on Demand versions being smaller file sizes than retail versions, though. For example Need for Speed Hot Pursuit takes up about 6.6gb if you install your disc to the hard drive, but if you purchase the Games on Demand version it's more like 4.2gb.

My friend just convinced me to get Borderlands 2 again, and it seems to be priced at 29.99$ when you check out.

It's still advertised as 9.99$. Fuckers.
 
take note microsoft. im buying 2 xbox games, my first in about a year or two. These are the sales you need more often. and with most of these being non shit games too
 
Playing a bit of Divinity I may stick with it on PC afterall, I was hoping the controls would be more natural for a controller but it feels like I'm just running Xpadder through it.

Then again controllers are more comfortable for the long term and I still prefer official support, so eh.
 
I thought about getting Divinity 2 again, but man did that game drag in the middle for me. They manage to make something that should be pretty cool kind of tedious, honestly.

Considering getting DA and ME later on depending on the prices on other stuff.

Just tried with my phone, first time, the price was right but I get to the very last step and it says the transaction cannot be completed.

On my subsequent tries, the price bumped to 29.99, but by points it was still discounted. I still get an error when about to pay though. :(

For cheaper prices I can create swiss xbl account, buy EU points (there is no swiss specific point cards?) and i can download from anywhere in europe (i am in Croatia) without region blocking?
Correct?

Is this sale gold only?

Did you play DKS or the original Ero Draconis? The re-release is a lot smoother/better and it has a second game included.

That's true, you can create a swiss account and buy them from there. However, I do not know how you'd go about acquiring points. Sale is not gold only.
 
Is FC Instincts Predator instinct still online? That game was fun as fuck playing all the crazy obstacle course maps, race and slide maps. Having a server browser meant you could always find games too.

I can't imagine the swiss XBL prices are cheap, I'd imagine they are crazy expensive.
Take a look at the Hungarian site, that's the cheapest one for me.

You need to buy a minimum of 800MSP for the hungarian store

Any game that doesn't use its own servers is still online, so yes. I was playing Prey online just yesterday.

Yeah, that would be perfect but I'm expecting $19.99 (still a good price for both right now).

Gotta admit these deals are actually better than I was expecting. Might be down for Bulletstorm and Prey at those prices.

haha yeah agreed. It's pretty fun, surprisingly polished (for a non-big-budget WRPG anyways loool). seems like there's quite a bit of content too.
 
holy shit bulletstorm is so much better than i remember when i got it on release day (and i thought it was fucking awesome then).

love it. maybe ill actually finish it this time 0_0
