Really? Damn I solo'd BL1 alright earlier this year, which was great fun. As long as it's similar I'll be happy.
YMMV, of course. I just found BL2 to be a chore (which I rediscovered after I stupidly bought it again during this sale). Never played BL1.
Edit: My main problem with the game is all the respawning enemies (when backtracking and revisiting previously cleared camps). Hate that shit.
I've put dozens of hours into BL2 and have never played coop. Horses for courses, I guess.
I'm tempted to get The Witcher 2 since I've actually been hunting for it (pun not intended) for the last couple weeks, and the cheapest I've seen it new is for 30 while it's 10 right now as a digital download for one day only. Problem is is that I'd rather buy it on disc.
I'm crazy-busy regardless right now so I can afford to wait, problem is that lots of stores here don't even have the game at all anymore and will never get it in again.

I would say it is better, although it is a different type of game. I would say NFS MW is much more arcadey than Horizon. Horizon is a great blend of sim and arcade. And I could drive around the world for hours in Horizon. It is a beautiful game, and I never get bored of it.
I've played about 15 hours of Borderlands 2 all solo and am still loving it. I bought it around Christmas and have just picked away at it - so far I'm finding the Siren the best for solo play, but if you pick up the Mechromancer DLC that class has a Deathtrap robot skill that acts as a pet/second character that I find works well for solo play.
Also, Witcher 2 totally bought last night. I was hovering over it at the $40 pricepoint due to my cheap MS points, so this made the decision for me!
10x better. I love horizon it's so much better, the driving is loads better then the wonky NFS MW driving. I bought both on Black Friday and completed forza horizon right away and still haven't finished most wanted.

I have Crysis 3 but none of the other ones. Which one of them should I get? I only want one tho.
For those getting horizon, there is also some free dlc that gives you challenges for every car in the game. I think its called 1000 Club or something. It can keep you busy after you're done with the career mode.
Witcher 2, if you like RPGs. It's a bit tough at the beginning as you have to get used to the combat, but when you get into it, the game is amazing. For $10 it is most definitely a steal.

NFS MW is a bad copy of Burnout Paradise. The 360 version of MW has some technical problems which can be annoying.
Forza Horizon is my favorite open world racing game and I play a lot of racing games.

Well for $5 Crysis 1 is a really good deal pretty long campaign for that type of game, just Cryisis 2 is better looking, both are worth playing just not sure Crysis 2 is on sale.

Not really. There are a bunch of assists.
Not really. Maybe read up a little on the Witcher universe through the internet but the story itself is pretty self contained.

Yes and no. It's the same driving model as Forza 3, and like 3 you can customise the assists and rewind time, but it's a much more open, easy game structure. You can just drive around if you want!

Just bought Witcher 2 and I think the combat is a bit overwhelming. Totally failed in the tutorial and was recommended Easy. Would I be able to cope on Normal once I get used to it? Can you change difficulty on the fly?
Go Normal. It was really tough for me at first as well, and I was recommended Easy. You just have to learn how to properly roll and use spells effectively which will happen as you progress. Once you get a hang of the combat, each battle is so damn satisfying.

Based the fact that that was all free on pc I think you have Microsoft to thank, not valve. They won't let valve give them away for free.
I don't think we'll see anything above $20. X-Com I'm hoping for $10, Gears will probably be $20, MGS Rising probably $15. Infinite I'm not too sure, that may go above $20 actually.
Its pretty good and challenging but if you level up a bit (especially your quen sign) it shouldnt be too difficult.

Team Fortress 2 is in the Orange Box, right ? Can it be played offline with bots ? It's the only part of the box that could tempt me, but I won't play it online for sure.

Yeah, it's only on today.
I don't know whether to get it... I played hardly any L4D 1 and when I did, it was on PC.
Also, weird question: is your username an Oceansize reference?
I liked Horizon more than the regular Forza titles. Such a beautiful open world, and I love the game's style.

Decided I'm not getting Forza Horizon, although it looks lovely and I want to buy it, I think it's only my unstoppable "MUST HAVE NEW THINGS!!!" feels instead of any sensible feelings driving the purchase (such as the fact I still have GRID, Dirt 2 and Forza 3 and 4 to play!).
Oceansize, I miss 'em... Great band, got me in touch with Amplifier as well for which I am eternally grateful
