I read it! Brawler Yukon's story was my favourite, with Pentecoste's being a close second.

Using my super-sharp expert trailer analysis skills, I think I can divine the movie's first act based on the last chapter of the comic:

After Gipsy Danger's defeat, the Jaeger program is cancelled like the apocalypse and giant walls are built around every major Pacific-based city. A Kaiju breaches Sydney's wall requiring Striker Eureka to be re-activated, and a battle breaks out in the city streets. Since Pentecoste appears to be piloting Striker at some point, one of Striker's original pilots may be injured or killed in this battle. After this; the PPDC deems Kaiju a more significant threat than before and reinstates Typhoon, Cherno and Gipsy for active duty.

here's an official poster showing a destroyed Gypsy Danger (which is also extensively covered in the trailers) so we know that they repair it, so maybe we can hope that they fix Cherno as well

Picked up this bad boy today at Suncoast. Really nice figure by NECA with 19 points of articulation. Crimson Typhoon is my favorite Jaeger but I might pick up the Gypsy Danger figure as well if I see it's of equal quality. Hope they add more Jaegers and Kaiju to the line-up.

Got my tickets for the first 10PM July 11th IMAX 3D screening in my area. So pumped for this. Theater only had 2 other seats filled, which is troubling, but whatever. I notice, around here anyway, most tickets aren't sold until like the day before or day of. Even if the US flounders, this film has big overseas potential. Keep hope alive!
