Nobody claims Chuck is the best LHW of all time though. He's even behind Tito on the all time list.
It's typical Serpentine Silver posturing, he does it with every fight.
I love the benefit of 20/20 hindsight vision. Who did JBJ ever beat?

Don't get me started on GSP.
José Aldo
I've really only watched Anderson Silva. Are there any other fighters like him? Who barley tries to go for a take down? Excuse my ignorance but I have no idea, but it feels like I need to start to follow other fighters, and I don't like the wrestling part too much.
Not this way. Yes he baits, he puts his hands down, showboats. But this sucker showed up with his greatest hits collection. I mean this guy was doing every showboat move he had in his arsenal, running down that playlist on auto.
.
I believe Pauly is talking about Anderson saying he doesn't want a rematch.
Can you bring up a great point, but when Jones loses the "creeps and weirdos" will absolutely be able to pick apart his resume and question who did he ever beat. That's why I maintain GOAT is a lineal thing. You can only be the best of your era and beat the competition available to you.
Dana really wants the rematch because of the money, but IMO give the chance to Belfort. The dude is hungry, he has fire.
Dude is 36 and all he talks is title fight, and has koed two guys who ARE NOT easy to knock out. This after getting knocked the fuck out by Silva.
LOL.
You have to go back to 2000 and throw in the Arona fight in RINGS? The one with Fedor squeaking out the controversial decision because Arona thought ground control was part of the scoring?
Regardless, again, we see Fedor fan posting victories ending in 2005. Great. What about those four+ years where he was padding his record with freakshows and cans and running away from the best competition? I've got no problem with saying Fedor posted some great wins pre-2006 vs. Nog. and CroCop. The fraud comes in when the guy does nothing but pad his stats for 4+ years fighting cans in a second-tier fed and enters the Fabricio Werdum fight being called GOAT and "The Last Emperor" and bullshit like that. The fraud really comes into play when people try to compare what Anderson Silva has done--fighting EVERYBODY that shows up to fight, in the toughest fighting promotion on the planet--with no 4+ year record of padding.
And LOL @ "Silva: Henderson, belfort and griffin maybe"
Let's see...
Rich Franklin: UFC Champion
Travis Lutter: Won the "All-star" 4th season of The Ultimate Fighter. Beating out guys like Pete Sell, Scott Smith, Patrick Côté, Edwin DeWees, and Jorge Rivera to earn the title shot.
Nate Marquardt: Three-time King of Pancrase, Perennial "Top Ten" guy in whatever weightclass he'd been in for the last decade or so.
Rich Franklin: (Again) Former UFC Champ
Dan Henderson: PRIDE Middleweight and Welterweight Champion
Patrick Côté: Perennial "Top Ten" ranked guy
Thales Leites: Ultimate Fighter Finalist. When he fought Silva was on a five-win streak including names like Sell, Marquardt, and McFedries.
Forrest Griffin: Ultimate Fighter winner, Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champ
And then a bunch of guys who live in the "Top Ten":
Maia
Sonnen (twice)
Belfort
Okami
I mean, come on. It's pretty obvious you have to bash your head against a brick wall until you recieve brain damage to think Fedor's shamefully post-2005-padded record compares with The Spider's record over the last 6+ years in the UFC. And Dana White is 100% right to object to anyone trying to compare the two.
Vitor should get the shot. Even if Canderson does come back, it probably won't be for another year given the way he's operated lately.
UFC on Fox 9 is scheduled for December 14th, perfect opportunity there.
Our friend Keith Kizer will not license Victor for a TRT exemption. Hence, he should fight for the UFC Brazilian Championship.
Yeah, Weidman completely clowned Munoz. 185 isn't so shallow that he would get a rematch this soon ala Cain/JDS and Cain/Bigfoot.
Belfort and the winner of Okami/Souza would be better options.
Munoz is right in line after Belfort, no two ways about it. Weidman beat an inferior version of Munoz.
Put Munoz against Okami.
Munoz was out for a year and came back to beat a non top 10 in Maklershed. If Okami beats Souza, he has 3 top 10 wins in a row. No way can you put Munoz over him.
And let's not start with this "Weidman didn't fight the real Munoz" stuff.
Anderson was outclassed.

Wicky Nishiura (pink shorts) has a very crowd pleasing style:

That's what I'm saying, playboy. You can't be off for a year and then beat a guy who's coming off a loss himself and just walk into a title shot. Not unless your name is Chael Sonnen and not when the current champion embarrassed you. "I was sick that day" isn't going to sell to anybody.
If anything I would put Costa and Munoz together.
When he threw the punch he step into Silva was more of an indication that he knew how Silva moved.
Okami grapplefucks most guys but Boetsch came from behind and beat him, Sonnen dominated him and Anderson KO'd him after some showboating. Is there anyone else in the other comps that would spice up the division? Even if Anderson wanted a rematch we'd have to wait forever to get it.
also, how has okami developed? I saw his first few fights in the ufc bur then nothing
Rockholdt is going to hand Weidman his ass.

I never thought the mocking was great for the sport or Anderson's career, even when he was winning. When Anderson is standing there, letting a guy like Stephan Bonnar tee off on him and get free shots at his chin which Silva shrugs off like it was nothing, what is that saying about the level of competition? You are basically saying to all hte people that paid hundreds of dollars for tickets or $60 for PPV "This guy is a fucking SCRUB who has no shot of beating me". It's like the problem Roy Jones Jr had in his prime. He's have these publicity stunts where he would play in a semi-pro basketball game in the afternoon and have a professional title fight at night, thinking that will sell tickets, but all that told fans is "If this guy can play in a basketball game during the day and still fight at night, the guy he must be fighting must suck ass".
ya it was a nice move, silva's feet are planted when he clowns
nobody else tried this before? i can't recall anyone but maia but he was too slow/ missed / mistimed his opportunities
guess it really messes with your head.
This. I'm thinking it was some kind of 7th dimensional trolling attempt. No way you typed that without laughing.
Michael Bisping is going to jab his way to a belt was way funnier. No way you typed that without laughing.
Ugh.
Just watched it.
As a huge Silva fan I couldn't help but think he deserved it for acting like an asshole.
But I also know most people in the middle weight division are excited to have someone they can beat now.

How was he more of an asshole than any other of his fights? He was doing the same antics as he always does.
