Wow nice! I've been wanting to use Flubit, but the price discount just doesnt seem worth it for the possibility of it being delivered after release date, and I'd rather pay the £5 more if it means I can get it for release day (Usually before).
I'm especially surprised at ASDA delivering it this early, I would have expected them to dispatch things later rather than sooner.
Hope you enjoy it anyway! I'm expecting ShopTo to dispatch tomorrow and receive it on Thursday hopefully.

I completely agree. That video posted in this thread with around 15 minutes of footage just reminded me of why I got so bored with the past M&L games I've played.
Dull levels, map layouts, and objectives (destroy like 30 rocks around the map! ...no thanks) platforming that's too complex (it wasn't fun for me to have to control two characters at once, it was annoying), NPCs that don't have anything interesting to say, and battles that take foreeeevverrrr.
When did you get the dispatch notification? I got it yesterday but it seems like a stretch for it to come one day later.
Yeah my brother accidentally did that with Advance Wars: Dual Strike despite being old enough to know better, luckily he's not that good an actor so I knew the expletives he muttered straight afterwards were real.
Anyway you should say something to your Uncle about the kid, from the respecting your property/don't rummage through people's bags perspective.
I got the dispatch yesterday too- initially it was marked as sold by Fireworks Merchant Limited but had an ASDA receipt in the box.
They all say that. Fireworks is just the merchant name of flubit I think.
I'm a bit stuck with heading ideas for the OT.

You're gonna have a blast. If you've played the first two Paper Mario games (and possibly Super Mario RPG, I never played this so I don't know) you should expect something similar to that.

Yeah I've heard nothing but praise for the series and it sounds like it's one of the more creative games Nintendo works on. Really excited to get into this in an hour or so. If it leaves a good impression I'll look at ordering the previous games too!

3 hours in.
-Slow beginning. Same tutorials as BIS.
-Badges work in combinations like before and 2 effects can be stored after the bar is filled.
-Every area has battle challenges (win a battle without getting hit, avoid 10 times etc). You get points which get you rare gear.
-Dream world seems way more interesting that Bowser's body. Though Bowser will be missed... I hope he appears at some point.
-Battles in dreamworld have some changes. When in defense the stick may be used to move Mario in the battlefield to avoid enemies or maximize counter attack damage.
I like it more than BIS so far. However it feels extremely familiar. The formula remains almost intact. I really enjoyed the two bosses so far. Their tricks are more creative than ever before so early in the game. Very fun battles. Cannot wait to see what lies ahead!

EDGE also predicted the outcome of the coming console war already, though. They've lost credibility in my eyes. Enjoy your game! I might use my $30 from the RPG duo deal on this.

I am being incredibly facetious, yes. Honestly though, I rarely read the reviews either until I'm done with the game or if I don't plan on purchasing it.
It tends to spoil the fun for me a bit if a review hypes me up.

As far as I know many people who are working at Alphadream now worked on SM RPG, too
. Also, I think the Mario & Luig games are fantastic RPGs and near perfect Mario-renditions of an RPGAbout 30 hours in, and I think I'm approaching the end bits. I've loved the experience, about as good as BiS for me - but quite a bit meatier.
Aside from the "dreamy" stuff, it does feel a bit too familiar though, perhaps too safe. Humours still there, mostly - there are some genuinely hilarious characters, but also perhaps an over-reliance of sleep and Luigi puns.
Worth getting? Absolutely.

So glad I haven't spoiled myself at all for this game, especially since I dissect most games to death before I even get them. Not that the story is important to me or anything.

Could be true, not that it really matters for most of their reviews suck bigtime. Read this review myself and it was rubbish.
