I've lost my chance to get BLOCKEDWow I just realized I should probably stop following Ryan on twitter right?
It feels wrong to. As if I shouldn't do it.

You know what is also just dawning on me? They probably have to replace Ryan with someone. That will be such a weird thing for everyone involved.
You know what, I would be absolutely OK with this.
There's probably no chance of it happening, though.
Man... really curious what this means for the site. This really is the big 'con' of a small personal site thing, if one thing is amiss, everything changes. Like Voltron missing a leg.
Ryan did do a bunch of behind the scenes stuff... I guess them hiring another dude down the road is highly likely. hmmmm...
Stuff is still surreal...
Fantastic

I'd love if Olly sold this for charity in his name or something. I'd buy one for sure.
*quick edit, nevermind, found it
I wouldn't be entirely surprised to see them try to record something this week or next. It would be difficult to sit and do this quick for sure but I could see them going for it as a sort of tribute to the man and what he would want.
Its so sad that Jeff said that, only a couple of days before he passed away. I think its safe to say, Jeff will never play TLoU now.
Everything about this is just so tragic: Being wed 5 days before, how happy he looked with his wedding ring with Vinny, he excitement about wanting to share his wedding stories on the bombcast...etc...etc
Its all so heartwrenching
Don't think my heart can handle the liveshows and the bombcast this week
btw what is that koffing pic a reference to?
surprisingly, it was Justin McElroy's thing which finally busted my tears out for real.
Ryan's inexplicable love of koffing.

I gotta say I think this is a pretty absurd thing to say. They may all not be in an emotional state to play that game immediately, but they'll all play it eventually. Certainly before the end of the year.
It strikes me as a very Ryan kind of Pokemon. You know that sucker is just waiting for a chance to stink bomb you and float away grinning.
It's that big, goofy grin.
Ryan's inexplicable love of koffing.
I would love to see Rorie move in and become part of the main crew.

Twitch archive with Ryan and Jeff, hopping through Ryan's lot of Famicom games. Not archived on the site, so some people might have missed it. It's several laid back hours of games and jawing.
This wonderful eulogy by Jenn Frank (former EGM I believe?) practically sent me over the edge:

God damn man. Can't imagine what's going on in the minds of those closest to him
Have they said whether or not there will be a bombcast today. I know it's Tuesday and they never miss a cast but... yeah... I just need to hear Jeff, Brad, and Vinny tonight. I know it's going to be hard to not have Ryan but I at least need to hear these guys speak on it.
My brain keeps jumping to the idea of this being some kind of Joaquin Phoneix/Andy Kaufman style hoax. It just seems so surreal.
If I ever hear Jeff speak about this, and he breaks down. I'm going to lose it. I'll be making sure to listen to that episode locked in my room.
McElroy's one of the handful of good, witty writers in US games journalism. He's just not great at the games end of things. Like he really wants his career to be in games but he should be a comedy writer or something.
Check out his podcast My Brother, My Brother and Me. It's pretty great. Justin is incredibly funny.McElroy's one of the handful of good, witty writers in US games journalism. Great stuff. She's definitely right. So neat how all these guys reconvened at Giant Bomb and just pushed ahead in order to make it happen. The GB crew really knocked it out of the park in the regard. This wonderful eulogy by Jenn Frank (former EGM I believe?) practically sent me over the edge:
