The campaign unfortunately features a lot of backtracking and replaying the same bosses, however, the combat engine is simply superb. There's plenty of over the top silliness in the characters and cutscenes as usual. Awesome buttrock. Gorgeous visuals on PC.

The DMC3 port to PC is supposed to be bad, but the DMC4 port is sweet. DmC is also on sale for $24.99 if that's more your cup of tea. Whichever you prefer, have fun!

DMC3 on PC is a broken ass port. It takes a lot of work to run properly. Once it does? It's good. I would say, very good. But unfortunately, you're going to be removing some music and changing controls. Otherwise, it will run like shit. Brute forcing it with a new PC doesn't always work.

HOWEVER, everyone should buy DMC4 at this price. Or buy it on the 360, where it is also $5. Or both. I'd go with both.

Devil may cry 3 unfortunately is a terrible pc port along with RE4. Which is a shame, since DMC3 is pretty much the best action game ever made. Try to get the HD collection which is on sale on xbxo live if you have a console, or get it on Ps3. Maybe capcom will release the hd collction on pc?

I'd stick with DMC4 on PC, which has bonus content and runs fucking amazing even if you have a fisher price PC.

Wandering around Temen-Ni-Gru was no more fun than backtracking in DMC4. Actually, much less so in my opinion.

The level design in this series peaked with DMC1.

You have to edit a text file to set your controls, there's no graphics options and the game manages to perform worse than DMC4.

Something is broken with the sound engine. For some reason on most computers, when music plays in game the framerate drops to unplayable levels. The only way to fix it is to disable the music by fucking with shit. And I'd argue the game is unplayable without it's music. This happens even on high end PC's that can run DMC 4 at 1080p 60 FPS locked.

The game has pretty much no story though. The whole point is the gameplay.
