Post pictures of your gaming backlog!

With the Game release season coming up, I'm sure plenty of us still have quite a lot of games we still really should play through before picking up anything new.

So, Post pics of your gaming backlog! Be it games you're currently going through, and games you haven't even touched yet.

Not Pictured:

- Castlevania XBLA [Got Wolf mode.. don't know where to go next :|]
- Bomberman XBLA [Always good for a quick run through]
- Beyond Good and Evil Xbox [Friend has borrowed it.. ashamedly have had it for over a year and haven't played more than 20 minutes of it]
- GTA: LCS PS2 [Man this game looks like crap now, I don't think I can play through it anymore :|]

I've bought a TON of GBA and DS games lately, much more than I should have at once.

Currently playing through:

- Kirby Squeak Squad GBA - A little dissapointing. The merging of weapons is not nearly as awesome as it should be - I was hoping for Kirby 64 styled craziness, and I'm left with not much more than a bog-standard Kirby game.

- Rayman Ravind Rabbids GBA - Pretty fun, uses a lot of elements of Rayman 3 GBA, while making levels similar in weird design to Rayman 1. Bosses are lame, other than that, lots of great platforming.

- Stafi 2 GBA - Nice minimal platformer. The Japanese doesn't get in the way of the game for the most part - easy enough to understand.

- Kururin Paradise GBA - Gets hard quick, argh! Fun though when you don't want to do much thinking.

- Kingdom Hearts II PS2 - I'm up to the POTC stage, I'm dissapointed by the earlier levels - so incredibly linear to the point that a Map is completely worthless. The Mulan level was horribly let down mostly because the hardware couldn't handle something as huge as the original movie's ending. Hope it starts getting better - I did pass that horiffic first 4 hours, so I'll finish this game eventually :P

- Lost Planet 360 - Very pretty, only very early in the game, may wait to complete other games first.

- COD2 360 - Okay, I don't see the complete appear of the game, but it's good.

Others:

- Spyro: A New Beginning GC [Not touched yet]

- Oddworld Stranger's Wrath [Not touched, I'm hoping it'll eventually be backwards compatible on the 360 :|]
- Kameo 360 [Played a little.. not enjoying it. On the last of the pile :P]

- R-Type 3 GBA [Barely touched, hard as nails for me, heard it's not very good :\]
- Metroid Zero Mission GBA [Not touched, I've played through it before, want to play it again]
- Mickey Magical Quest 2 GBA [Not touched, seems fun]
- F-Zero GBA [Not touched.. probably will never get to it :\]

- Scurge: Hive DS [Played 10 minutes, seems okay, the 3/4 perspective doesn't work well with a D-Pad though]
- Rocket Slime DS [Not touched, will get to soon!]

I'm waiting till the PSP-Slim arrives. :x

Oh and I need to play through RE4, but now that I gotta take this girl with me, I somehow don't have the will to continue..

Skies of Arcadia Legends
Pikmin 2
FF3 DS
EBA (destinys child stage)

... and i dont know if i should re-finish Castlevania DS for the other endings (already got the good ones)

I can never understand backlogs being so huge, when I buy a new game I play it, if i'm still playing another game i'll play both when I can. never been one for single game playing for long periods.

My gaming backlog if well over 150 titles. If I posted it, it would break the margins on the forum and be a cut-and-pasted frankenstein of the last generation that resulted in a 100 megapixel picture. Let's just say, I've stopped worrying about my "backlog."

My current backlog is huge and keeps on growing. Here it is:

I don't get backlogs, why buy something if you're just gonna let it sit there and never play it?

Because you sleep easier knowing you could play it.

So how do you count a backlog game anyway? A game you have not played or a game that you have not finished? If you guys have that many games you have not even played... damn... :\

Most of the games I buy are older games that I've always wanted to play at some point but have become rare over time. Whenever I see one of these games on Ebay for a reasonable price I just feel the need to purchase them, can't help myself :p

Some games are rare so if you wait until you have time to play it the price will be insane. Other times you just have to buy the game to play at least a little right away but you never quite get a chance to finish it because another game catches your attention and you need to play it.

I personally concider a game part of my backlog if I haven't finished the singleplayer yet.

I don't own a digital camera, so I'll have to settle for boring text:

Playstation 2

- Final Fantasy XII - last in my RPG backlog, because I've read that it's so damn long
- Shadow Hearts - I've been looking for this one for years, and recently found it on the cheap at EB games
- Valkyrie Profile 2 - I'm a huge VP fan, and I wanted to make sure to get this in case it went the way of the dodo

Gamecube

- Tales of Symphonia - about 15 hours in; haven't touched it since 2005

Xbox

- Beyond Good & Evil - found it cheap, haven't played it yet
- Fatal Frame - went on a horror kick and found this on eBay; haven't played it yet
- Fatal Frame 2 - see above

GBA

- Final Fantasy IV Advance - in process, working on the dark crystals
- Final Fantasy Tactics Advance - beat some 100-odd missions, then got insanely bored
- Phantasy Star Collection (PSII/PSIII) - beat PSI, in process with PSII
- Yggdra Union - still sealed
Atlus lolz

Nintendo DS

- Contact - haven't played more than an hour
Atlus lolz
- Etrian Odyssey - in process, on B5F
- Hotel Dusk - in process, on chapter 2

PC

- F.E.A.R. Extraction Point - almost done
- Prey - found on the cheap; a couple hours in

PS1:
Legend of the Dragoon
Chrono Cross
Final Fantasy Tactics
Final Fantasy IX
Star Ocean 2

PS2:
Dragon Quest VIII
Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter
Okami
Odin Sphere
Suikoden III
Valkyrie Profile 2
Kingdom Hearts II
Final Fantasy X-2
Xenosaga
Jak 2
Jak 3
Sly 3
Metal Gear Solid 2
Grand Theft Auto 3
Grand Theft Auto Vice City

PS3:
Oblivion
Motorstorm
Ninja Gaiden Sigma

GBA:
Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy V

DS:
Pokemon Pearl
Elite Beat Agents
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
Yoshi's Island 2
Final Fantasy III

PC:
Star Wars KOTOR
Star Wars KOTOR II
STALKER
FEAR

I know I'm missing a few titles on the PS2 that I have yet to beat. I will never play either GTA again....I just can't stand the controls and framerate issues on the PS2....I'll play them on the PC instead.

I have too many RPGs to beat >_<.

If I counted games I never completely finished then the list would be a bit bigger. For example, I did not complete Metroid Prime 2 despite enjoying it a whole lot. I got lost at one point which I just could not for the life of me figure out where the hell I needed to go next. I don't consider that to be on my backlog since I got the most I probably can out of it. I'll play Kururin Paradise, but I won't complete ALL the levels [probably], and will I ever complete R-Type? Probably not.

I'll buy Metroid Prime 3 around the time it comes out though. My list is games I'll definitely be playing through as much as possible.

I'd say it's more of a "Games you own that you intend to play in the future" :)

I hate searching for games and i like to vote with my money. When a game is worth my money i like to buy it at launch if possible.
The backlog happens when you sadly buy more games than you have time to play them...
I'm suffering from this. And now that i am getting laid regularly it's not going to get better. I'm stupid enough to buy too many games i'm pretty sure lol.

I'm like 10-12 PS2 games, 2-3 GC, 6-8 DS and 6-8 PSP games. I finish like 2-3 games a month at maximum and i try to buy only one per month but this fall it's gonna be insane. I'm sure i will buy 10+ games until the end of this year...

Sadly nearly every game I own is in my gaming backlog. I cannot beat games because I usually buy a new one before I finish. No pictures because I am ashamed.

Still trying to finish:

Wii:
Super Paper Mario
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem*
Wario Ware: Smooth Moves*

DS:
Mario Kart DS
New Super Mario Bros.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney

* Not yet started
Boy, someone sure likes Mario a lot.

well i usually buy a game i want and pass it and move onto another. the only backlogged games i got are gta: san andreas and dragon quest 8.

PC: Oblivion, Supreme Commander, Freespace II

Wii: Super Paper Mario, Legend of Zelda TP

DS: Etrian Odyssey, Pokemon D&P (beat it a loong time ago, but training might never be complete)

Sorry to bump this thread but it's necessary (for me)

Dead Rising
Halo 2
Street Fighter: Anniversary Collection

Between those three, I'll be busy until the 4th Quarter wave.

I'll also constantly be playing Geometry Wars, and I still need to get some more achievements in Crackdown, but I don't consider those games backlogged.
