She looks like a mix of these two pornstars...well one pornstar one cam girl. Jasmine Hooterama and Sophia Castello. :3

Thanks brah you made me look them up.

One was an overweight chubster with cottage cheese thighs and the other good lord had an ugly face and butt pimple scars.

D tier porn stars.

Oh for crying out loud.

As a white latin man myself I can tell you we are a pretty diverse people.
We even have *gasp* asian latinos.

This race thing feels so medieval.

Nail on the head.

Im a fucken mut. Its like my ancestors had an ethnic orgy and fucked everyone in Europe, Asia, and South America.

Some people think I'm Filipino
Some people think I'm Cambodian
Some people think I'm Mexican
Some people think I'm tall
Some people think I'm short
Some people think I'm fat
Some people think I'm not
Everyone thinks I'm a handsome devil

Who gives a fuck!

Wasn't there three basic races, africoid (African), caucasoid (European) and mongoloid (Asian)?

Latinos would probably fall into white or maybe even Asian under this idea.
yes, and this is what makes this thread so funny and embarassing at the same time.

the term "white" refers to your skin color only. but usually it is used synonymous with caucasian. people will still try to find a way to exclude "browner" races though. spanish, not white. yeah sure...
Of course today the term Caucasian is simply used to refer to white people, which in itself is quite funny because when you look at it from a certain perspective the people from say somewhere like Italy are not really the same as the people from England or Scandinavian countries, yet they are all categorized as the "white race"
take a look at this thread: some don't consider spanish, italians, greeks and turks as white. many people try their hardest to keep the "white race" pure...

The US obsession with race never ceases to amaze me. Race means almost nothing, even less in the states where everyone is some weird mix.

Most "hispanics" (or latinos) could pass as europeans. Arabs, persians, europeans and latinos are all white as far as I'm concerned.

Well, that is the essence of White Privilege and Racism. Is what it is.

I don't think that latinos means anything different from people from south and central american states.

According to wikipedia:

- there are as many white mexicans as indigeneous
- mestizos are the majority and they look white to me
- in brazil almost 50% of the population is classified as white
- argentina and chile are mostly white

America is a mix of ethnicities but most of the people descend from europeans, natives or both so even if they belong from different ethnics groups they are mostly white.

In europe things are similar: different people have been mixing for centuries, for example sicily has been both under the normans(from normandy,uk etc..) and arabs so you can find typical mediterraneans as well blonde and red haired people( in minority of course)

Most of the arab countriess have big or small percentage of people who are almost undistinguishable from southern europeans: turkey, lebanon, iran, syria and some in egypt, tunisia etc...
The same applies with some southern europeans and northern ones.

People are mixing and there are different skin tones, the edges are blurred.

The avg skin tone is also partially dictaded by the amount of hours exposed to the sun, when i watch old photos of italians they looked a lot darker because most of them worked in the fields all day.

What I'm taking from this thread is that people in the States get cards by race? like your id mentions your ethnicity? why? that is so bizarre and a bit disturbing to be honest.

While everyone is on exactly the same page, perhaps we should get to the bottom of "What is a Palestinian?" as well! Fun times for all.

The 10-year census has a couple questions about race. They care about where you live, not who you are (well, the NSA probably cares about both.)

I don't think they do. If they do, or if they have their race written on their driver's license, then that's pretty fucked up. But the US has always been obsessed with race. But I don't know if that's better than the countries that refuses to do any censuses based on race like France.

latino and hispanic is just a PC way of saying mestizo for most people in the US from what I have seen and read

also white hispanic = of european descent on both sides of the family
mostly a minority in latin america outside of iirc Uruguay and Argentina

Random sampling of Spanish people on the BBC website:

Can we close this thread now?

I honestly mean no offense when I say this, but do you know anything about Spain? Not EVERYONE is pale-skin white over there.

Not that it's worth arguing, but much of Brazil's population will classify as white or Pardo to avoid racial discrimination out the ass. People think US has race issues, Brazil makes US look like Fringe, The observers in 2605,

Yes, he is hispanic, but a white hispanic. Hispanic is not a race. It's why you're asked if you're hispanic before you mark down race on your SAT.

Those choices are such bullshit and subconsciously portray the fantasy that everyone is some purebred race. What if you're a mix? I always put "Other" even though I'm a mix of pacific islander, european and asian. I'm even a sliver of cherokee.

It was also sad since I had a lot of friends who were mixed race (mexican+white, asian+white) that would always consider themselves as "white."

There are three races in the world: Caucasian, Mongolian and Negroid.
A Somalian person, for example, would be Caucasian.

The indigneous people of Latin America were Mongolian descendants, and therefore share similar features. Skin color does not determine race, so these people are Mongolian. They also mixed with Caucasian peoples, so they are a mixed race. Modern "Latinos" would probably be a cross of the two.

No he isn't.

That was all about the media pushing their narrative behind a sad story. Don't pay them any more attention than you normally do. What some news stations are doing/saying don't speak for everyone.

Ignore it.

Yeah this still confuses me tbh. It used to be just click hispanic if you Latina(o). Now they changed it.

I guess I'm white. O.o

This is me

This is my sister

This is my lil' bro

We're latin american, and the three coming from the same mother and father are of different skin colors, if that's one single family, imagine trying to have all latin american people under a race.
It's simple, it's impossible.

Yep, yep yep. My dad is a green-eyed man and my mom has freckles; we are Mexican. Btw: good looking family, esp your heart-breaker brother.

Gonna need to see more pics of your sister before we can confirm her race.

With zimmermann story, and the media constantly calling him white.

George Zimmerman was not Hispanic. He had one parent of mixed white and Amerindian heritage, and one parent of presumably full white heritage. George Zimmerman was mostly white. But even though he had some Indigenous ancestry, like many Hispanic people do, he was raised in English-speaking culture and held contempt for many Hispanic Americans.

Hispanic is not a racial group. As others have said, you can be any race and be Hispanic. There are many Black Hispanic people in the Dominican Republic, while there are many white Hispanic people in Colombia, Argentina, Cuba, etc. The majority of Hispanic Americans identify as white. It's ridiculous to deny somebody their racial identity just because they speak Spanish.

If George Zimmerman ever claimed to be Hispanic, it would just have been to deflect allegations of racism.

You sure?

I'm lighrt than my sis and she's lighter than my bro, and not only that but our features are kinda different one from the another, mine being more "western" she's more of a so called "latina" and my bro is kinda "native". latino is not a race, it's a genetic group.

Yup, same here. One of my brothers has darker skin than me, then another one has blond hair. It's weird.

I'm hispanic and I'm white. Not blonde with blue/green eyes but my skin is white. Where does that place me?

Edit: Spaniards look a lot like Hispanics (and vice-versa). They aren't blonde or have blue/green eyes, at least not most of them. They have brown hair and eyes.

Edit 2: Errr, I mean "white" hispanics.
