Low level play in the game is generally not fun to watch. Higher level play is.I often hear these past few days about how SFIV is dead or we should let it die. After seeing the attendance number for the last EVO, I must have missed something, so if some kind soul could explain this.
The thing about SFIV is that it has the lowest barrier to entry of any of the FGs. Yes, it ramps up very substantially, but you can play the basic game without needing a ton of experience or execution. That's why you get the most tournament entrants for SFIV at almost every FGC event.
SFIV, is though, getting up there in years. But the constant updates are helping to keep it fresh on the tournament scene. And Capcom's made it clear, whatever their initial next-gen fighting game will be, it likely won't be SF5.
