Fighting Games Weekly | July 22-28 | Life's A Beech

So none of the godlike exhibitions everyone was going to watch VxG for are being streamed?

For Real.

Is this just when stuff starts and then it continues into the evening till there's a winner/top16/top8 or whatever- or everything goes on from this time listed till around 8PM when they're doing featured exhibitions?

Does Sunday exist on DA BEECH?
Is Sunday all finals and exhibitions?

No. it wasn't ever about it being two buttons. It's the imbalance in the design of what DPs the characters got. Giving Mitsuru and Yu these giant, offensive DPs was stupid. While lesser characters don't have anything with near the same utility.

For me, I think the DPs are all fine (besides the awful Labrys and Liz DP). Each one has their own set of weaknesses. Sure some are slightly better than others, but I think there are other problems that P4A has.

Also, I'm still in the camp that doesn't like 2 button DPs. It's just too helpful for good players and those with good reactions which weakens other defensive options like GCs from working some of the time.

Oh my god tell me this is real

I always wondered do people like to fuck up popular thing on purpose cause maybe they don't like trying to make it less popular

At this point, I'm seriously considering that this is the case. Like, everything that isn't related to BATMAN AND CO. are being cancelled and taken apart. Rotworld for Animal Man and Swamp Thing were REALLY "ugh".

Mr. Wizard is looking for feedback on Evo 2013. Check it out and let him know what you thought of the event.

Nice thanks for the link. Loved it but besides the expensive food, my biggest complaint is that there needs to be a bigger venue where *everyone* can watch it live and not in a separate room via stream. It's not fair for people who really don't know if they can go to EVO until a month or two beforehand. Really was lame.

the money thing is a little weird for feedback

i do think the food was too expensive, and there probably could have been more beta type stuff.

I think the money system is to make sure people keep focused on the major things they liked and disliked.

I didn't got to the event but the stream was great. I wish they had exhibitions and more combo videos though.

Yeah, seemed a little light in that regard when compared to previous events.

there arent big enough rooms in vegas.

Convention centers can easily hold it. Was at AX and AX had 10k people there and was open till 3-4am. (LA convention center)
AX is also an order of magnitude bigger than Evo is. There was what, about 70,000 people at AX this year and you had about 3,500 players at Evo, and Evo typically runs a 50/50 player/spectator split, so around 7,000 or so people at Evo.

There are hotels with bigger space in Vegas without having to go to a convention center (the Cosmopolitan, MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay come to mind) -- the problem is BOOKING that space. Events tend to be booked out years in advance. It's why Evo was at such a wack time in 2012 -- it was literally the only time ANY location in Vegas had enough space for the event.
