He was reliving the best moments of his life in vivid detail. Sadly, he wouldn't be able to relay this amazing feat of accomplishment.

Setting aside all the kidding in the thread for a moment, this one had potential if the prose was better.

The tortured man wept in joy when he was shown he only had 8 days left of his unjust imprisonment. A guard reached in and turned the scrap of paper.
 
Gaffer boarded the train to work as usual, prepared to pass the commute(and much of the work day) playing mobile games and surfing the Internet on his mobile phone. He reached into his pocket to discover that he left his phone at home.

The world's wealthiest man sat in his now fuelless rocket ship, drifting farther and farther from the solar system. He looked at the lamp and wished his third wish hadn't been to live forever.

Something about her seemed familiar about the color of her hair or the way it felt like she was walking toward me. She was and said "You might not remember me, but I'm pregnant and it's yours."
 
The third wish was to recover his memories, but the genie couldn't grant it twice.


Every full moon the man hunted down the beast, but he could never shoot his son.

It was the third time since he left work that he looked at his watch when he heard a voice whisper to him, "You're late." The once punctual man made his final appointment as he stepped onto the subway tracks.

The rhythmic sound of romance upon his entry, however, was not a round of applause for his efforts.
 
"Sorry I'm late picking up the baby, Mrs. Carter, but I've had a long day of work out in that scorching Sun."

"You never dropped the baby off, sir..."

After the flailing panic of stepping through a web that big - wide enough to span the jungle path - John calmed only when he concluded its maker was not in the part he'd broken. He was smiling up at the sun shimmering through the canopy, when she thumped softly onto his face.

Could craft it a bit more, but that'll do. (Edit: tweaked a bit.)

That has to be the worst feeling ever. Also, very well written.

The large spider was on the bedroom wall. He turned around to pick up something to swat it with, but when he looked again, it was gone.
 
He couldn't remember how long it had been since the lights went out.

It was lonely without stars.

The one instance where I just might want to die(if one could ever live through that somehow).

He awoke with a start and saw a pair of big glowing eyes staring at him from just outside his bedroom window. He remembered too late that he had no bedroom window.
