I didn't even knew what Fez is until today xDFish's biggest problem is his ego. Being hostile to others and then getting mad when there are those hostile at you is a loop with no end. The only way for it to end is to not be hostile, or walk away.
I doubt you'd probably play his games, to be fair.

I hope he is joking because despite not liking Fez or his outward persona there were tons of people who loved Fez and were super keen for a Fez 2.

I don't know where he has specifically stated such a claim... but I'd believe it in a heartbeat.
The whole situation screams bi-polar disorder. This is not something a person can just control.
He needs to certainly be accountable for his actions, however, it's cruel to attack somebody as clearly emotionally unstable as him. It may sound ridiculous, but this kind of vitriol is what fuels suicide. I wouldn't be surprised we hear about something like this about Fish in a few months if all of this hate continues.
Let's just leave the guy be.

While I never cared for the man that much, I recognized his passion and skill as an indie developer, and that's all I needed. Hopefully he comes back someday, but maybe going out as a one-hit wonder is best. I wish him luck.

He had a considerable amount of stress and pressure put on him, so I hardly blame him for telling certain people to suck it given the abuse.
Gladly. It's a great game. Hopefully this passes and Fez II can happen.

did you watch the indie game the movie special edition that just came out? there's a whole thing regarding phil's like of attention that is pretty interesting
he basically gets asked about what's up with everything he says being turned into a headline, and he laughs and says "I kinda dig it", cause they know people are listening. He says It's a shame that it's bad but it's great to know that people care about what you say and pay attention
and both edmund and tommy from team meat in commentary say that shit is so relatable. That pretty much everyone likes that, but they won't admit it, cause then the phil fish shitfest happens. I really dont see the issue with the dude being dead honest about loving attention. Everyone and their mother loves attention, but like I said, apparently in this industry you gotta be hush hush and like everything, otherwise you're MONSTER PHIL FISH WHO HAS OPINIONS OMG.
phil fish was like a dude making the games in the midst of the modern gaming industry not existing, basically still being a dude or a random gaf poster, to put as an example. I liked it.

You can't control it fully, but there are moments where you snap out of it, in a sense. Also, during those periods of depression, you know exactly what you are doing, You don't black out.
Fish had a chance to end his tirades on Twitter by just leaving it. It's not like he's incapable of shutting it down.
