Anyone else think that infamous second son is the best looking next gen exclusive?

never played an infamous game, but this one kinda appeals to me as the main character seems like a huge asshole

Game looks good, not that amazing to me, but really solid, clean. About what I expected.

Hell yeah.

Too bad I really hate how the protagonist looks. I'd need some different outfits to ease the pain, though I'd still see that face in cutscenes and when checking out the scenery :(

imo yes. Forza 5 and Killzone SF is right up there though.

No love for Quantum Break? Although the chick's hair has to go.

There hasn't been any gameplay yet, so its hard to judge. Have to include the Dark Sorcerer if that's the case

I don't think Killer Instinct is even close to being in the running. It could be mistaken for a current gen game at this point.

Aside from the absurd amount of particle effects seen in the EVO demonstration that I don`t think would really be seen on current gen, I completely agree.

Its not even close to being in the forefront for best looking next gen exclusives, my opinion of course.

Graphically: One of the car porn games

Gameplay: Eh... It's slightly better than most nex gen titles but it still looks completely uninteresting to me

It's really interesting to read all of the, 'Such and such looks like Last gen except with blah blah blah'. IMO, pretty much all of the games we've seen so far look like Last gen with blah blah blah. People just pick their favorites, glaze over when it comes to any shortcomings, yet pick apart what other people like. Methinks returns have diminished...

Every time I see killer instinct it reminds me of those bogus videogame development school commercials that they show late night on TV.

The Division's not exclusive but it looks pretty

It's definitely the game that screams "next-gen" the most to me right now. The trailer at the PS reveal event was pretty shrug-worthy, but the one shown at the E3 Sony conference blew me away. The mo-cap and facial animation really sets it apart, and the gameplay footage impressed too.

I'm not even that big into inFamous admittedly, but Second Son is easily looking like the PS4-exclusive to beat at this present moment...

until we're shown MediaMolecule's upcoming project at Gamescom next month

You also have to consider that Infamous is open world...

Visually for me its one of the best looking titles, but also the most interesting gameplay wise.

There's barely anything happening in any screen or video of SS.

It's clean and has nice particles, but it's so empty.

Honestly, the Infamous games felt really bland and had no life to them.. One of the most boring sandbox franchises so far. This one doesn't seem to improve on that from what I've seen

Let's just hope it's not as boring of an experience as Infamous 1/2. The series has always looked good on a technical level, but that art direction? drab, drab, drab...

Division isn't exclusive... And the PC version will probably look better than the PS4 anyways

If it will look like this at all. I'm not denying this could be possible on PC, but I still have my doubts when it comes to Ubisoft when they showcase their games.

the devision and the witcher 3 represent the next gen for me. an open world without borders, always something to explore, fantastic graphics, no loading screens and so on. and in case of the devision there is the "connectivity" thing which is fascinating as well.

infamous looks like a current gen game for me with somewhat improves textures, but i've got the feeling that they even used the animation of infamous 2.

looking only at graphics, i go with forza 5 as well..

Lol this post is just riddled with fucking nonsense again.

Forza 5 for XBox 1 exclusives, Second Son for PS4 exclusives and The District for 3rd party. Out of those three it's really hard to tell which one looks the most impressive though, but I'm leaning towards The District (even though I'm not that interested in it whatsoever).

Killer Instinct isn't TERRIBLE looking, but it very much looks like a high-end current gen game being run at 1080/60fps. Not sure why people are bringing it up as an example (or factoring in its sound design for that matter).

Very atmospheric, love it.
Though the game runs at 30fps (according to DF), so hard to tell whether that's a GTX 780 or PS4.
The fact that Infamous: Second Son looks like it currently does bodes well for the coming generation, and new footage next month also IIRC :D

Best graphics really comes down to best animated. At this level, that's what matters, not individually rendered and refractive sweat.

In terms of animation, particularly facial animation, Infamous: Second Son is arguably the best looking next gen exclusive.

Game looks good but I'm getting sick of the scenery and character shots. The game looks so barren right now, show some fucking population!

Look at some the matches in motion. The fact that there's something always dynamic happening in the foregrounds and backgrounds of a fighting game that isn't restricted to few animations. The way how things break and destroy with every hit struck, the way the music molds and matches with the situation of the game. This has been the only next-gen game that REALLY convinces me that this is for a more powerful generation of consoles.

60FPS, 1080p

barely looks like a 360 game,u mad bro

So he gave you reason why he thinks the game looks good and that is your response? i do not even know why people post sometimes.

I would give it to The Division. I honestly see nothing special about SS. It looks great but the details in the division is ridiculous.
