Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | July 2013 | Slow Month, Fast Games

Not cross buy. Nah but it's something. I have no idea.

as I said it wasn't charted anywhere (NPD, Chart Track) and for me didn't heard anything good about them sales but anyway. and in the end Konami just don't see Vita as a good system for their games anymore.

Does anyone have an idea of how much adding cross buy costs? I mean, you could obviously look at it as potential lost sales, but I'd be more likely to buy MGS3 HD if I could play it on PS3 and Vita and I'm sure I'm not alone.

But you're right - and it's a shame. But NLKS and MGS are both ports, and SH isn't even in the same genre as the other SH games. Hope they don't rule out the platform entirely though - it's doing niche numbers in Japan now and they can only improve with games and a potential price cut.

Oh god - top of the page pressure....

Buy Tokyo Jungle Mobile, pre-order Tearaway at your local videogame store and add me (moobabe) on your Vita's so I can see how much my trophy score sucks compared to you.

How has MGS done worldwide? None of the others really seem to scream 'success stories' to me - especially NLKS which isn't as good as the Wii version and didn't get a retail release in Europe AND it's £34.99!!!!!! No wonder it didn't sell

The Vita has demonstrated, especially in Japan, that it CAN sell software - and surely the potential sales, even if they're low 'ish' would outweigh the cost of a PS2 port?

To be fair Konami is releasing Japanese Baseball game to Vita constantly, because they saw it is viable business to do so, while not doing it for 3DS (they tested the baseball game for 3DS once, and did quit after that). For PES it's vice versa. It is strictly business decision IMO.

They've made like 4 baseball games for Vita, yeah.

No, Vita GPU is more than capable of doing native res games, I mean look at this native res game
http://images.pushsquare.com/news/2013/07/killzone_mercenary_looks_the_business_these_screens_prove_it/attachment/3/original.jpg[IMG]

and there are many other, Toukiden, FIFA 13, Virtua Tennis 4, Sonic Transformed and other, Soul Sacrifice is clearly rushed, I mean just look at the PSone-ish textures, you can't judge the GPU based on one game that graphically look the norm on the system.
I'm not trying to prematurely judge the Vita's GPU, and no doubt KZM looks impressive. However, there are just as many titles that are sub-native res. I do hope it's just a matter of being rushed and that things will improve on the long term.

Things will improve if it's worth the developers time to improve it I suppose.

It was randomized in a way that reminded me of Call of Duty 4's Mile High Club. The rules, enemy patterns and your tools are the same but your run and reaction have match to the pattern so that you succeed.

Gameplay excellence.

Sound Shapes death mode was randomized at points in placement of the notes so that you CAN'T succeed on a given run. If you have a perfect run on Mile High Club, you're going to complete it 9/10 times, at least.

If you have a perfect run on a Sound Shapes death mode level, there are times you will run out of time 10/10 times depending on the random note placement.

Maybe you like continually playing games where winning is impossible, even if you're perfect, but I know a lot of people who don't -- including myself. When you can't win, it goes from being a challenge to being outright stupidity and a waste of time.

I had a frustrating time and frustrating runs during my MHC pursuit... but I knew at the end of the run that it was MY FAULT for fucking something up. With Sound Shapes 95/100 times I'd fail a death mode level, I felt like it was NOT MY FAULT because my run was perfect, there was just NO POSSIBILITY of getting all the notes based on their randomized placement.

I don't understand the clamoring for native res -- a lot of big console titles don't even push native HD resolution for 720p. It's pretty standard for things to be sub-native and then scaled up.
Maybe I just don't have the same standards/expectations of a portable platform's graphics as the rest of you.

So my girlfriend, out of nowhere and I mean out if nowhere- said that she wanted to go to comic con sometime and that shed like to dress up. When I showed her Yukiko she said that would be perfect. <3 :D

PS- ANY NEWS OF DAMN TERRARIA? Hot damn.

#teamrise

Though Yukiko is a close second for me.

EDIT: Just noticed that I hit full member status. Aww yeah.

I feel the same way about P4G as I do about vegetables.

I know they're good for me and I see everyone else eating them but there's something that stops me from tucking in.

Just met Rise. Gonna keep trying to bang Yukiko cause S-Links.

Rise's hair is meh.

Look at this guy, not understanding the glory of twin tails. Pfft.

But seriously, the reason why I digged Rise was Laura Bailey's voice acting, so imagine my horror when I discovered that Rie Kugimiya was her seiyuu in the Japanese version. I'm normally a guy that prefers the Japanese dub in anime, but dear God my ears bled.

What's the online functionality of P4G supposed to do?

When you're in dungeons, you can press an SOS symbol to ask for help. The more players that answer your request, the more HP and SP you will recover at the start of your next battle. You can also answer SOS calls from other players to assist them.

Outside of dungeons and at the start of a new day, a window will pop-up telling you how other players spent the day (social links, studying, dungeon crawling etc.).

What Aytrial said. If you're patient enough, you can do enough SOS recovery so that you can never need to leave a dungeon and can do the whole thing in one in-game day, giving you more time for SOCIAL LINKS.

so basically cheating

or cheesing your way through it, you choose

I caved and bought Stealth Inc, you guys.

If you enjoy the base game, and are a fan of Portal, then the DLC is worth picking up also imo.

Hoping Ten by Eight is actually going to be released on PSM this week. If there was going be any big surprises we would probably know by now, still debating on PJM. If it were Eden, or Shooter I would probably me more interested. I have never been able to get into Tower Defence games outside of Anomaly.

Go in ready to laugh at some of the dialog and be prepared for a slow start. I played it for like 5 hours straight earlier today. It's an awesome game.

Played until my battery ran out today. Go my s-link maxed out with Yukiko. Now on to Chie. Also,
loving that slut from the hospital.

With Pixel Junk Monsters coming out is there any chance Eden and Shooter will makes its way to the vita?

Im pretty sure when they announced it they said it was a multi game deal. So if that is accurate then I would belive that its likely the others will follow. Hoping for shooter, and shooter 2, but my guess is that Eden would be next, unless they are including racers in this....which I hope not.

Samba outfits are too good in this game.

How is Super Stardust Delta?

I loved, loved, loved HD on the PS3. For 9.99 it seems like a no brainer. I really just wanted to check here to see if there are any framerate issues or anything else that should deter me from going ahead and picking it up once I get done with Velocity Ultra.

Thanks for the reply. I only picked up my vita in June and honestly didn't know that there was an SSD game available for it. While playing Velocity Ultra tonight it got me thinking about Super Star Dust again so I checked the store and sure enough there was a Vita version. Since posting I've been reading some reviews and watching videos it indeed looks like it'll be a ton of fun..

I really beginning to fall in love with my precious white vita.
