Games you remember, names you don't

naa I think it was more of an adventure game with maybe a little rpg elements. The characters were definitely anthropomorphic as well.
It seemed like a western PS1 title or could have been localized.

Perhaps Kingsley's Adventure?

It has a knife and fork combined into a sword.

If it's not that then I have no idea xD and hopefully someone else will know the game your on about =]

There was this F1 game on a PS1 demo disc my cousin had that we would play all the time. If you would drive backwards and hit other cars head on it would pretty frequently make you go flying 100+ feet in the air lol. There's so many F1 games that I've never been able to pinpoint the exact one it was.

Psygnosis's F1 maybe? I remember doing that with this game

game was on an early ps1 demo disc
you're in a room(like a cube) with a bunch of other dudes, trying to blow each other up
you were hurling little orb bombs at each other

edit: blast chamber

Thanks that narrows things down quite a bit. Do you happen to remember which year? I figure it was either the first (Just "Formula 1") or second one (Formula 1 98). Kind of leaning towards the first but looking at all of the box arts just isn't ringing a bell.

Look at youtube videos instead, the user interface or music should click and make you remember which F1 game it is on PS1.

I think it was the first one

I need help here. I used to play a disc game on PC with my sister when I were a child and we borrowed it from the libraries in the 90s. I don't know when the game were released but it were a side-scroller.

I remember vaguely that you were either a squirrel or bunny running and jumping on the roofs trying to avoid enemies.

I can't remember the name. :(

I THINK it looked like this visually but it weren't Nestle:

*ok, iPhone won't copy-paste*

Not bunny but maybe Titus the Fox?

Nope that's not it. I'm pretty sure you could throw nuts but the game is only vaguely in my mind yet one of my absolute favorites. =/

I think it was slower paced than Titus but not slow. And I can't remember if you could roll on a skateboard too, it just keeps coming back to me when I think about the game.

Some games that might be what you're looking for:
- Rolling Ronny
- Super Bubsy
- Quik the Thunder Rabbit
- Jazz Jackrabbit 1 & 2
- Mr Nutz (wasn't released on the PC though)

You said the game came on a CD. Was it a compilation or was the whole game on a CD? Also, was it for DOS or Windows, if you can remember.

One of the Skunny games?

http://www.mobygames.com/game-group/skunny-series

Three of them were platformers. Save Our Pizzas particularly looks close to what you're describing.

PS1 game, only played it via a demo disk on a tiny ass TV next to the huge one back in like 2000 or so. I think you were like some kind of skeleton warrior or something. I think at the start of the game you were in like a crypt or something.

I've posted this before on a couple sites over the past couple years, but no one can ever help me or seem to remember what it's called. I played it at my cousin's house sometime in like 2004. There's a good chance it came out sometime in the 90s.

-It's for the PC
-Over-the-top style shooter, like Zombies Ate My Neighbors style
-Regenerating enemies, in order for them to stop regenerating you need to destroy the regen points
-Very arcady
-Supported multiple players per one PC, I remember I used WASD, my cousin used IJKL or arrows or something, and my other cousin used a USB gamepad
-Similar to the kind of cheap download-only games that we got a lot of this gen, but I'm pretty sure it was a retail game
-Levels were short
-It had "2000" or "3000" or something like that in the title

I'm honestly starting to believe it doesn't exist or (more likely) my memory is foggy and it never actually had some of the elements I remember it having, because I've looked at quite a lot of games and I'm 100% sure that none of them are what I remember it being. I've also thought that maybe it didn't have a retail release at all and was just a flash game.

That's not it, but it reminds me of something I need to add to my description. Each level was one static screen. You couldn't move past that. Like a Pac-Man level. That's what I meant by "Levels were short".

Every time I post this people always suggest games that don't have static screens but I never changed it for some reason.

Naw. Similar in concept to both of these, but the graphics were more in line with something you'd see on the SNES/PS1 (2D PS1 games). The characters you controlled were people, but I think they used guns or some kind of weapon that fired at a distance (not 100% sure). I remember when I played this game I specifically told my cousin that it reminded me of Gauntlet in terms of gameplay, but the game was more arcady and pick-up-and-play than that.

No one have any ideas yet (again)? This is one that I feel like no one will ever get, I never see it when I look at lists of games and like I said I've been looking for a year or two now.

right, this game i barely remember anything of

i was always sure it was fire emblem but it turns out it isnt!

im also pretty sure its a DS game, anyway

it starts out in a castle, its sort of top down view, with the little dudes running around. i cannot remember if the movement was like is fire emblems battles

anyway, people attacked, and this guy came in to help, i do remember that having someone else adjacent to the character you were attacking would get an assist from them during the attack

this is spoiler tagged because it may be super wrong and impair figuring the game
the dude that game to help, may have had red hair, and may have had a beard?

A PS1 game, involved flying vehicles but you had weapons. I specifically remember there being a limited amount of smart bombs.

May have been flying over a city. That's all I got. I think it was a demo.

maybe a place to look? And you're sure it's not FE? Maybe one of the GBA games (I never played those)?

Einhander? Was it 2d or 3d (in terms of gameplay?)

There was a game for the N64 I used to love growing up.

It was a 3rd person adventure game, similar to something like Zelda.

Its origin was Japanese, I would imagine.

It might have been part of a series.

I can't remember many of the details, but one part of the game sent you up Mt. Fuji. I think there might have been a small craw crane section too.

Anyone have any ideas? Would love to look up videos and get all nostalgic.

Maybe Mystical Ninja/Goemon

I don't remember much about this game and I haven't played it in well over 20 years, but I rented a NES game one time and really liked it. It was a side scrolling game... umm, it might have had some platforming in it, but I remember it (granted I was like 5 years old) feeling like you could really explore the world a lot or that there were puzzles you had to solve. I also remember there being a dog or something. I don't remember anything about the dog.. but I think it started with there being a dog.

I rented it once and when I went back the next weekend, it was gone and then I never saw it at the store again. A while later I saw Zelda 2 and playing that reminded me of it. I know this is a super vague description, but does anyone know the title of it? I'm pretty sure it came out before 1989 if that helps.

There was also this Dreamcast game. It was a third-person multiplayer (splitscreen) arena shooter. I think it may have been rock and roll/heavy metal themed. My friends and I used to play that game for hours on end just blowing each other up. I think the environment was semi-destructible or there were destructible items in it.

I remember there was this demo I played for PS2 that was in a gameinformer (I lost the disc a long time ago), and it was an open-world game. The whole point of the game was to tag stuff.

I can't remember much else except that the main character that you are wore a grey hoodie, and the dude would be hanging off ledges, billboards, and at subways tagging places.

I remember this kid playing what I believe to be a Sega Genesis game when I was younger. I think it was futuristic because I seem to remember a green or blue, like, grid lady... that's all I remember... Lots of a black screen with stuff made up of futuristic grids (did I miss that part of the future?)...

Anyway, good luck figuring that one out. I've thought about it many times over the years, but what I know (or think I know) about it is so limited I will probably never find out what that game was... Haha...

I posted a few pages back but still haven't found what I'm looking for. Does anyone know where the sound at the very beginning of this video comes from? It might not actually be from a video game. I contacted the creator of the video, but haven't heard back (didn't really expect to. He probably gets a lot of messages).

A math game with a main character that looks like the virtual guy from the movie Lawnmower Man. I believe it was on the Commodore 64. Late eighties/early nineties.

Guys, I need some help. Many years ago I played an Point n' Click Adventure on the PSOne in which you controled an Agent or Private Detektive. It had pre-rendered enviroments and some amazing bad cg cutscenes. I guess everything was full voiced...some part of the game played in a Hotel or Apartment where a woman was killed, or something like that.

Any guesses? I can't remember mutch more...

Fighting game on Psone, all I can remember is some ogre dude with a club? one of the stages looked like a prison with green acid around it I think. Quite a violent game if I remember right.

Also had a badass knight in it. Driving me crazy.

Evidence: The Last Report? That got a release on PSone. A Microids effort, IIRC.

Okay, so there was this game I played at a friends house when I was a kid that weird as hell. Pretty sure it was on the Sega Genesis. I forget most of the details but it was a 2d side scrolling platformer/shooter style game where you pick levels from an overworld map. The one concrete thing I remember is that the very end of the game consists of you having to unlock a safe with a time limit. I could never beat that...

Not much to go on but like I said the was really weird. It wasn't like any other game I've played. Pretty sure it was a Japanese developed game.

Heavy Metal Geomatrix? Also see Spawn: In the Demon's Hand and Outrigger.

There was this one game i played a lot as a kid mid nineties. You where a spaceship on a yellow line and you would venture out of that yellow line to gain extra ground. Each level you had to take over at least 80% of the space. The first level was with a big snake, the second with some one eyed metal space thing that shot fireballs.

Well, that's almost certainly a Qix clone of some description, but there's so many of them that I don't think I could come up with specifics. I'll have a quick search for Qix clones anyway. Platform?

The game that I looking for was a PS1 title, I think it might have been a JRPG and all I can remember that the character had to obtain a gem stone only for the villian to grab it and smash it by stepping on it. I also remember that it had animé for its cut scene.

There is a significant scene of that nature in Dragon Quest V, although that's a SNES title. Did one of the remakes give full anime cutscenes?

I think it is from the title screen of Virtue's Last Reward.
