It may have auto attacks by way of the "bump system" so the combat may not be as good but wow, the rest of the game is just so much more realized than the original legend of zelda. All of the little side stories of the people in the town are really enjoyable and so is the main plot.
I feel like my eyes have been opened on a great franchise as the only one from this series I barely remember playing was a side scrolling one on SNES.
How does the rest of series stack up to other top down action rpgs?
My plan is after finishing Ys 1 is to do Ys 2, Oath and then Origin over the course of this month. So I may keep coming back to this thread to discuss this series with other fans.
