Since Spelunky is coming out on PC tomorrow (August 8th) and PSN just a little while later

A common mistake.

...I think.

:P well its just that a few of us would like to play PSP game demos on the Vita so we can try games on our own without having to check the youtubes or go off of other people's opinions. Kinda lame that they don't let them work on Vita. Maybe this is a sign that they will soon?

Huh. For some reason I thought Spelunky was Vita only rather than PS3/Vita.

Too bad the Vita version couldn't be out this week to be in line with the PC release. Oh well, I'm getting it on PC and on Vita anyways.

I love that almost every new PS3/Vita indie game supports cross-buy. Hopefully this trend continues.

Just about to post that haha.
Hopefully cross-buy continues into the next gen with PS4/Vita. I'm sure it will, right? Only way I see it not is if the whole remote play thing overshadows/takes precedence but, as much as I LOVE the concept of remote play, I'm sure we'll keep seeing both platforms supported.

We know that Hohokum is a Cross-Buy title between PS3/PS4/Vita

I really hope Remote Play doesn't outshine Cross-Buy. I'd rather have the option to keep playing my game even when I'm not signed in or have access to an internet connection.

Ps-store on Vita is a fucking disaster..
-Discount category which isn't updated for at least a year, which is absurd!
- not visible how much space a game takes on the expensive memorycards
- almost all games are without media... Unbelievable. So we just should buy games based on text Sony?!?
-no visible balance.
-search is broken, bad incomplete results
- cannot search for al games which are 5 euro (par example)
- no filters in genre, just stupid letters...
- why are some ps1 games workable thru ps3 and not via the vita shop? Wtf!
- Etc. Etc.....

Also download list a mess. Downloaded couple games (4x CBandicoots + other stuff) from my list (which starts from the release of PS3 from 2/2007).

-> You scroll down the list to early years -> DL game -> Go back to list -> Youre back on top of the list (newest DL) -> Scroll again down to whole f***ing list -> Rinse and repeat.

How hard it is to change it so that when you have DL some game from the list and go back to that download list, it stays in the place where last DL was done?

Also where the heck Ill get new themes? Didnt find any from the store...

Bought Rayman Origins from that PS+ sale.
The demo for me was okay but since i'm not into platformers I thought I'd wait for it to arrive as a PS+ game.

Wow, was I wrong, the game is amazing! the graphics and art style are amazing and the learning curve is pretty good for a novice platformer like me.

In another question, is there a way to use a guest account on the Vita?
my girlfriend, who is not a gamer, fell in love in Stealth Inc and finished it before I even got to half of the game... I want to setup a guest account so she could have a different save file, any ideas?

Well, at least SCEA picked a much better game than SCEE's huge waste of money that was the Epic Mickey 2 port.

Maybe a better game, but not necessarily a better decision. Epic Mickey 2 stems from a long-term partnership with Disney Interactive where SCEE attempted to diversify the Sony handheld software library to broaden the platform demographic to more than just teen/adult males. In conjunction with Geronimo Stilton, Eyepet, Invizimals, etc. it seemed to be a successful strategy for SCEE with PSP in its later years. Telltale's Walking Dead targets that same teen/adult male demo with a question about project viability on a game available for months on oodles of other platforms, including more successful portable platforms like iOS.

I got a funny glitch in the new Breakquest game. It's "freemium", you get some free balls first and then you can buy more if you want. This morning I start Near, look to my gifts and see a "multiball shuttle". I download it, run the game but can't find the new shuttle. But then I pay attention to my balls (sorry :-)):

mbjdof2ad0edw3ugp6da-2013-08-08-083002.jpg

Somehow, I have now "minus 1 billion something balls". I can still play the game and lose balls, but as I'm in the negative, I suppose I can't reach 0 anymore so I have basically unlimited crédits.

Dem truth bombs. I agree. Store needs massive improvement. I don't see why it can't just be the same as the PS3 store but with a touch interface.

Still leagues better than the 3DS eshop. Ok it has tons of problems, but hey. It could be worse. It could be much worse. Perhaps we should consider ourselves lucky.

PS3 store is horrible. Long load times, and a confusing search aren't what I'd have in a perfect webstore. The fact that it has separate software updates, and the ability to delete the store boggles my mind.

What are the chances that Demon's Souls and Dark Souls will get ported to the Vita? at least Sony can make the former happen.

Demon's Souls should've happened this year to fill in the huge gaps between retail releases. Sony owns the code, and the game runs of Phrye Engine, and SCE created middleware toolkit that runs well enough on Vita.

If they want to re release old stuff on the Vita,I'd take Demon's Souls,Dark Souls PTD,GoW 1 and 2 (this is happening) and Resistance Fall of Man.

Damn, now I want someone to gift me a ball pack at near, too. Don't see the near option in-game

But I also just figured out that you can get the 33 free balls from the store as often as you want. The near bug is just more convenient.

So anybody who is interested should get their free balls now.

Why Resistance, lol?

And Dark Souls PTD had no chance and i doubt if VITA can handle Demon's Souls but i will definitely love it on a handheld. Never managed to finish the original :p.

Finally playing Gravity Rush after owning the game for nearly a year. I got a few chapters into it initially, but then I got sidetracked by other releases. Really enjoying it, and I assume I'm approaching the final few chapters.

The gyro and touch controls took some getting used to, but now I'm really enjoying them. My favourite of the lot is the swipe dodging, even though some might find it a pointless addition. For me, it adds that little bit of extra immersion.

i loved the swipe to dodge while in the air. Was vital in taking down the bog dragon type monster.

TWD fad is huge. One of the smarter decisions from Sony to get it.

If you are sony and you want to sell vita a late port is never a good idea if it has no real exclusive incentive like in mortal kombat complete edition + exclusive vita tower or in persona 4 the golden imo.

Does Vita hardware even capable running the game without significant drop? It was 2008 game, but still it hard to believe if Demon's Souls could run on Vita without any significant quality-drop graphic wise. But otherwise it would be godly if Sony release it on Vita.

I just re-installed this the other day and the bubble is staring at me. Already completed a good portion of it in January, but keep dragging my feet to revisit it because I forgot all the controls. Game requires a bit of dexterity to play properly.

Demon's souls was very far from being a technical marvel, an exclusive spinoff/sequel made by a good team(like guerrilla cambridge) could be equal, if not even better, looking than the original demon's souls imo.

Am I crazy here or Dungeon Hunter: Alliance a pretty decent Diablo clone? It got terrible reviews because of it's launch price, but at $10 I bet reviews would be much more positive. I really enjoyed the demo and I'm considering buying it. It's incredibly derivative, but there aren't many options of the genre out there. Any chance this will get a sale or be a free game on plus?
You're crazy. Managed to get it for less than £6, there's nothing there to hold your interest.

You say interesting, I say sad. Sony paid for a port of a game available pretty much everywhere else.
You're making an assumption that Sony paid for the port. I'd say it's far more likely this is about retail distribution, which is something Telltale isn't set up to do themselves. They had to work with third party distributors for the 360 and PS3 retail releases, and it ended up taking them 6 months longer getting a deal in place for the European market.

And yeah, I think it's interesting because while there have been a few exceptions like PS1-era Final Fantasy and some Disney titles, Sony has largely had a policy that they will only publish games that they own the IP for. Seeing them soften this stance, first with Jacob Jones and now Walking Dead is interesting, and means there's a far bigger field of possibilities now in terms of what Sony might do for the Vita.

This is out? I didn't hear any fanfare over it
Europe only so far, and it just appeared out of nohwere with the store update.

Do you think that Guerilla Cambridge continues working on the Vita after Killzone or are they going Ps4?

BEND, Guerilla Cambridge, MediaMolecules 2nd Team, the Sony Japan team that made GravityRush...
Would be cool to have some Vita team at WWS.

Well at gamescom last year they annouced two biggest Vita titles for 2013 from Sony so I'm expecting to see 2014 titles for Vita annouced there.

I could maybe see Cambridge staying on the Vita. Guerrilla already has two teams in Amsterdam working on PS4 titles after all.

For people doubting that demon's souls could run vita, this is type 0 on psp(emulator)

Isn't it almost equal to the first demon's souls location?

Similar in term of look, but not in detail especially character models. What makes me worried is big boss like Tower Knight or fast moving boss with a lots of particle like Flamelurker. Heck, even I usually feel slow down a little bit everytime Flamelurker uses fire smash attack. Outside of that though, I'm sure Vita could do just fine.

Why don't you show me i'm wrong instead of not being sure if i'm serious?
Just post an image of that tecnical marvel that was demon's souls 1-1.

So you seriously think that area looks exactly as good, technically, as Demon's Souls? You're obviously 100% incorrect, so I just assumed that you were being an ass for the sake of it.

Here's a more balanced response for you as well.

Edit

And that image you showed is running on an emulator? Like on PC? I can post some Dark Souls high resolution PC shots if that's how you'd like to go.

Wait really?
Are we talking about psp or vita?
I showed that image of type0 for PSP(on an emulator yes, but the assets are still the ones of a psp game) that with all its limitations is already close to demon's souls 1-1, do you really think that vita wouldn't be able to handle soething comparable(or even better) than demon's souls?
Remove the rose tinted glasses, demon's souls had a great gameplay, design and atmosphere, but graphically it was nothing great.

Oh, since you haven't posted an image as expected look at this
A whole world of difference right? The enourmous difference of power between ps3 and psp is so evident...
