he seemed like he was fine and already moving on before the phrase ''blood money'' came out of walt's mouth

but after he thought about it he's like ''damn this really is filthy money''

during the time walt revealed to jesse the history of gray matter, jesse wanted to just move on and live a normal life then.. he knew he had collected plenty and will be well off, at the lab he even told walt he isn't sure what he'd do with the money but he'd figure it out, he wasn't conflicted like he is in todays episode

flash forward to now, it's as if he went through all those bad experiences like a day before or something idk

maybe its just the hunch he has about mike being dead because of walt, leading jesse to realize that if walt could have covered this up, what else is there that walt could be keeping from him.. maybe he's realized how much of a puppet he really was through all this, which i hope it is, because the ''blood money'' stuff isn't selling me much

When was he moving on before?

In Say My Name, he said he just wanted money and for Walt and him to be done. After 4 months, Walt finally gives him his money and Jesse immediately goes to Saul to give it away. Blood Money takes place directly after Gliding Over All and Jesse gets the money right at the end of Gliding Over All. Jesse never said he wanted to keep the money for himself.

Because what Walt said hit him hard. Plus the other shit you've said. It may not sell well enough to you but it makes sense and it fits with his character.
 
That was fun.

I'm surprised for the hate for Jesse. His character is spot on.
He NEEDS to be depressed and drowning in guilt. After all, he's human. He hasn't "broken bad". He's Walt's foil.

i don't think he would have gone to saul if walt hadn't implanted those words in his head, right now i like to think that much of his depression has been sparked through knowing about mike's guys being killed and speculating whether or not walt would finish mike off in the process, which he thought right, that yes, that is what walt would do, he'd kill off mike otherwise it wouldn't be very walt-like
 
I see sadly hopefully wrong Jesse dying by the hands of Walt. Like Walt actually killing him. Wanna know where Matt Damon is gonna come out of this.

Yeah and you know Jesse is gonna think about Brock again and realize that Walt did it. Jesse really wants out though which I can see him going to Hank. Even ratting out Saul because he had his hands on poisoning Brock.

Ahh, well, I never watched the show before and only glimpsed at the wikipedia page for it to make sure I had the right person in mind when I made that post. In hindsight it seems sort of odd to me that people were using "From the creator of Southland!" to hype up Ray Donovan when in actuality she wasn't even involved with the good parts of that show.

What's there not to understand? He's become so fucking detestable. Now don't even try to say "then why are you watching this show anyways." The writers have made it purposely easy to focus your driving force on Hank or Jesse. What keeps me interested in the show is knowing that Walt will get what he deserved, it's probably the reasons for the flash forwards.
 
How did Hank know that Heisenberg blew up Gus? All the DEA knows is the Hector Salamanca had the bomb, for all they know the cartel could've blown him up.
 
Great starter overall.
It really sucked me in. Didn't feel like a hour tonight.
The only thing that I disliked was Walter intuiting that Leaves of Grass was missing. There really hadn't been anything that episode that would have tipped him off. He jumped straight from Hanks sick to he knows I'm Heisenberg. The scene rubbed me the wrong way it just didn't feel natural. Maybe if we had seen Walt read the book prior, but I got the feeling that it had been sitting above the toilet since he got it. Nitpick aside I really did enjoy the episode.


Also,
Hank didn't wash his hands.

Walt moved the book into the bathroom at the beginning of Gliding Over All; he clearly liked it a lot when he smiled and put it on his nightstand in Hazard Pay.
 
its questionable that walt would even remotely be thinking about that book in a moment he's throwing up from his cancer returning

but that kind of thing is super common in this show

in a show where a flight control dude causes a huge plane collision based on his daughter having the same name as a plane who was left to die by walt you have to accept some chance and coincidence

Well after finding out Walt was Heisenberg he probably thought the worst thing possible. Then factor in the fact that he knew Walt worked with Gale who worked for Gus so that means Walt also worked with Gus. Then you factor the fact that he never went to Hank's home during the time Gus got killed. Then you factor in that Walt has worked with Jesse before after factoring in the fake phone call he got saying Marie was in the hospital. Then you factor in that he traced back Jesse to where Tuco was where he probably also found Hector Salamanca and during the time Walt was missing.

There is a lot of factoring to do.

Anyone notice that Gus also put a towel on the ground to rest his knees on when he threw up the poison at Don Eladio's compound? I saw the episode yesterday so I'm not a freak lol.

Sure Walt has turned into such a bad person but I still want to see him win. Whether he does or doesn't I have complete faith that the show will end perfectly.

They showed the book all through out the first part of the season. So it was in play the whole time.

Yeah only thing was he wasn't at the compound. Most of the things Walt does now is because he seen the characters do. Like the crust on the sandwiches.

Well I guess we see things differently. I really can't want Walt to win. He isn't the same as he was before. To put it in other words: in the earlier seasons Walt is the underdog, Rocky per say, you want him to win because deep down you know he has a good heart. As the show went on he transformed into Drago, a despicable piece of shit that you can't wait for to get beat the shit out of. There is evidence that Walt has been a Drago all along but that's a whole other subject matter.

Sure, but it was still hidden on top of his toilet now. The way the scene played out was completely intuition it was set up for Cancer vomiting not book reading. He connected Hank being "sick" with the unexpected poop and checked to see if the book was gone. I'm just not convened it was a completely natural connection. I guess you could write it off as Hank has a horrible poker face. I don't know. It's not that big of a deal tbh.

I've seen the show three times and have never thought of it that way. I don't think I can bring myself to stop "rooting" for Walt but its eye opening.

Well the writers have always meant for it to be that way. They wanted you to start hating on Walt. Hell, Bryan Cranston have said many times how despicable Walt actually is.

I stopped rooting for him when he let Jesse's girl Jane die. Walt is a piece of shit. Period.

Was it me, or did it take like 45 minutes of zooming in on bathroom door before it FINALLY opened? I was screaming at the screen by the time Hank finally popped out.

Its surprising that Hank missed a lot of it. Walt has just always been one slight slight step ahead on Hank. Hank could have probably put it all together real quick from the point when the Chemistry equipment went missing from Walt's high school after Walt asked him about ride-a-longs and drug busts. The timeline and events start to make a lot of sense from there. At the same time though, Hank is still only seeing the tip of the Heiceberg.

Fuck the tension in that end scene was so palpable.
