Ray Donovan on Showtime is from the freaking creator of Southland and it's pretty bad, so.
I really enjoy Ray :-/

I find it to be an extremely entertaining show. Is it brilliantly written or acted? No, but it's fucking fun to watch and that's rare these days.

So is anyone actually still rooting for Walt at this point?

I've never understood the psychology behind "rooting" for a cold, murdering sociopath like Walt. I get that someone may enjoy the character because it's a fascinating and captivating character, but wanting him to "win" seems like an overly simplistic and naive view.

So is the consensus Skyler > Emo Jesse now lol?

I don't really understand the hate on Jesse finally being completely broken down by all the death and carnage he has seen (Not everybody can be an unfeeling powernerd sociopath like Walt). It's not like this just suddenly popped up. This has been his trajectory for a while.

That music when walt was opening the outlet to get ricin was haunting and eerie as hell. Going on my second time looking at this episode.

So who are some smaller characters in the past episodes you REALLY HOPE show up again in the next 7 episodes?

I know there isn't much time for fluff but I hope we see Jesse's parents and brother again. Hope it's not at Jesse's funeral though.
Also, I would love to see that kid from Peekaboo again.

I thought it was a solid episode although the confrontation at the end seemed sort of weak to me. I've been looking forward to the moment where Hank figures it all out since episode one, and I dunno...it fell a little flat I thought. The episode in general followed a very predictable pattern, but that's fine because it's just set-up for the next seven episodes. Still immensely excited for the end.

considering the fact that Hank did Walt a favor twice by taking out Taco and his cousins, Walt should be more grateful but that is not how his brain operates

It works both ways. Hank should be grateful Walt paid for his physical therapy. He should also be grateful Walt exposed Gus and got him his promotion (although I doubt he cares.)

In the same vein Walt has taken out more drug lords than the DEA has dreamed of lol.

Loved Hank in this ep. You can see how torn up he is, Heisenberg is the itch he can't scratch. If Walt goes down then Hank will face endless accusations and investigations. All Walt has to do is say Hank was in on it too: Hank raising money for Walt, Walt meeting with Hank in a shuttered office as ASAC, Hank's rehab being payed for with drug money and much more. Heisenberg is what motivated Hank but now he can't persue him like he knows how.

Why not? He's no more evil now than he was at the beginning of the season. I don't know why people are getting so worked up over this. There's nothing wrong with rooting for the bad guy. Who do you root for in slasher films, the dumb teens or the guy in the mask?

Rooting for anyone in this show now is kind of silly. Everyone is going to die horribly lol.

I think Jesse will kill himself. What does he have to live for, at this point? He's like if Will Graham was a meth cook/murderer, he feels way too much of what he does.

The way that Hank will approach him will be interesting. If he goes at him too hard, Jesse will just become more depressed. If he comes at it right, then maybe he can ensnare Walt.

Didn't expect Walt to get cancer again. So why does he still have hair when he's taking the pills in the future? I know it doesn't always take your hair, but that's a deliberate choice the writers made.

I wonder how far Hank would have to go before Walt makes a move? He needs to tell someone about Walt, or else he could die with that knowledge. A lot of shades of the final season of The Shield. It's gonna be a cold war, I think.

This was revealed at the beginning of the season last year when he showed up to the diner with his machine gun. His hair grew back because he stopped going to chemotherapy now that he's the most wanted man in the country and everyone knows who he is. I'm pretty sure he stopped taking his pills too once his supply ran out.

I am rooting for him to live but not in a way most people think. I want his family to die because of him and at the end it's him having to deal with the fact that it's hit fault for his families death. Everyone hates him, he lost his family, he lost everything. Everything he did up to this point was for nothing and he has to live with it.

To me, that should be his punishment, not death or jail.

Hank better "tread lightly."

In all reality Hank will have a tough time going forward with this info all things considered.
now Hank realizes it was done with blood money

This is an interesting point because Hank would look like he was in on the plan.

Tread lightly.

Tread lightly.

Tread lightly.

So fucking eerie.

I am just glad they got the Walk Hank confrontation out of the way in the 1st episode, because it makes you wonder even more how the other 7 episodes are gonna play out from here.

Bros, Jesse lives. Come on. Gilligan has said time and time again, Walt needs to be punished and he's a big believer in things like karma.

Jesse atones for his sins, works with Hank, gives Walt and maybe Saul up. I think the last thing we'll see Jesse doing is inviting his family around for dinner, or getting out of Alberquerque with Andrea and Brock. Something like that. Something nice and heartwarming.

Hank will live. He might get taken hostage by Lydia and her cronies or something but I think that's what Walt's machine gun's for; he saves Hank and then takes the ricin or something and dies in his arms or some shit.

I'm pretty sure Skyler, Todd and Lydia all die. If any of the characters are expendable, its certainly the latter two. And Skyler just because... Walt needs to suffer.

Vey very late to the discussion here but DAMN THAT CONFRONTATION. You could cut the tension with a dull butter knife. Hank looked actually crazy, I thought someone was gonna die.

I love you Wilbs, but I think in 7 weeks we'll look back at this post and laugh at how wrong it was.

This is the way it will end. I am certain.

Well, shit, look at all the hank went through cause of Walt. You would be pissed too.

I really hope Jesse doesn't die, but here are my predictions;

Walt- Dies in one way or another. Alone.
Jesse- Gets kidnapped by Decan and forced to cook. This could be why Walt comes back after escaping. To "free" Jesse. Jesse may still kill Walt however, to end the cycle.
Skylar- She's rot in jail.
Walt Jr- Dead. Early collateral damage from Walt refusing to cook for Decan.
Hank- Hank will survive and he'll be part of bringing the whole thing down, but he will be disgraced in the process.

All the other "minor" characters could go any way. Marie, Todd, Lydia. I don't think their fates are all that important but we'll see.

I have a tough time believing Walt(Brian). One minute he seems like a soulless drug lord the next minute he is pushed up again the garage door and gives an expression like he would have given 3 seasons ago by looking like a scared fragile old man. Shouldn't he have fully evolved by now and be completely immune to such things?

Walt dies, Walt Jr. dies, Skyler dies, Todd dies, Hank dies, Jesse dies.
Marie meets Lydia, they both know each other from college and they fall in love. They get married and adopt Holly.
