found Rocket Racoon loop gif. :D

If Thanos is in this, I wonder if they'll lift Rocket's threat of everlasting life to the big purple guy from the comics. Needs a little set up, but it's a amazing speech.

This is going to be the best Marvel movieverse movie.

Maybe not for the general public. But for me. Hope they're featured heavily in Lego Marvel Super Heroes

I'm not familiar with the comics, but Groot is kind of dissapointing size wise. Maybe I was expecting Ent-like sizing...

he looks taller in the gif I found, maybe he changed sizes throughout the movies. understandable that he can't be Ent sizes though, how do you get into spaceship or space bar in that size. :D

I'm more disappointed with Drax's size. Star-lord shouldn't be as tall as he is I don't think.

Drax only has a foot on Star Lord or so in the comics. And it also depends on who's drawing it. Drax has never been THAT big of a guy compared to other 'beastly' types. and it's not that Drax is too short, it's that Star Lord is too tall.

Right. Relatively I was thinking Drax should be Groot's size, and Groot's head should be off the screen. I've mentioned this before, but it's probably a framing issue. They're all originally drastically varying heights and yet they all have to be on screen at the same time.

Flipping through the comics, Drax is not even a foot taller than Star-Lord. While Groot can alter his height at will. I'm guessing they didn't want the comedy out of frame shot when they're trying to establish these characters.

I remember reading descriptions of the SDCC footage where people said that Groot had to bend in order to get his face in the frame.

Groot, who is all CGI and has to lean down for his mug shot. Reilly calls him a "personal houseplant slash muscle." I AM GROOT!

-Groot – a plant. He’s so tall, he slowly leans to the right and gets his head in the frame.

Drax's size varied throughout the comics, didn't it? He isn't that much taller as Star-Lord in the GotG comics.

Yeah, I mentioned above he was too big at one point. When he dies he's reborn with a different shape/personality/abilities.

He was fucking two feet taller than Gamora in the Infinity Watch, and she's a big bitch herself.

in the world of comics, Drex is usually Thor levels of height. Where he's big enough that you go 'shit that guy's big' but if you see him next to a monster, you forget that he's so big.

If they kept that size, he would be taller than Thanos, which would be a bit silly. He could stand to be a little larger, but shouldn't be another Hulk. That would just end up being confusing.

I'm at work for the enxt 6 hours and won't be able to see the clips, but overall how would you guys describe Rocket's characterization in them? Is he like his pre-Bendis personality/StarLord was leading the team?

There is no characterization on display for any of them aside from some heroic posturing.

They showed him shooting a big fucking machine gun and riding Groot though.

Pretty hard to judge from that clip but he is standing on Groot's shoulder and his shooting with a fuckin' machine gun which he clearly does in Abnett's GotG.

Furthermore I guess the movie is leaning towards Abnett's run of the Guardians which is damn good.

I hope so, the DnA run was terrific and I really liked Rocket's characterization in it.

The line up scene looks awesome. I hope that's how the characters are introduced.

Also, who does John C Riley play in this?

Yeah look closely at that gif, he's bursting out of his clothes and growing in size.

You guys have no fucking idea how hyped I am for this.
I dont even remember a movie I was more excited for

I can watch those gifs forever.

Untill this movie I had never ever heard of the Guardians of the Galaxy. I don't know any of them I only recognize Horse-Thor (is he even in this movie?)

We do not exactly know his role. He could be off duty or something.

IIRC the character has been changed to some SHIELD liason for Cosmic Affairs (Cosmic Coulson? I can get behind this).

I doubt it. Thorse is very much tied to Thor, so there's a chance they may want to introduce him in Thor 3 so Avengers 3 can get REALLY cosmic.

And geeks will rejoice.
