They will save Beta Ray Bill for Thor 3 where they have to team up to fight Surtur. It will be entirely acceptable in the audience's mind after GotG, lol. Marvel really are geniuses.

He will need a long Shakespearean monolog before laying waste to a planet.
 
Truthfully I don't want BRB in Thor 3. Having another character able to wield Mjolnir will take away greatly the impact of hopefully a scene in Avengers 3 where Cap lifts the Hammer and strikes Thanos with it.

Love Beta Ray Bill though.

That is true. Because I NEED to see Cap pick it up. Been saying for a while that when that does happen in an Avengers film (and it better fucking happen), it will be a BIG audience pop.

Props for Marvel Studios for taking big risks, making at least decent movies, and them succeeding. If this movie is good, then I hope it does well in the BO.

I mean, they are actually putting a raccoon blazing at things on the big screen. A RACCOON MAN!

I still remember the brief tease with Hulk trying to pick up Mjolnir in Avengers. I was ready to mark the fuck out. Captain picking it up and fucking shit up will be it for me.

Just have it much like the part in Infinity Gauntlet when everyone is dead (or in the movie, knocked out. Or dead if they have the balls). Cap is the last one standing, and wont back down. Thanos is beating him down, and Cap reaches for the hammer out of desperation. He picks it up, and in a slo-mo shot we see Cap clock Thanos across the face with the hammer.

Especially due to the fact they are owned by Disney, nobody will be dead. Maybe evaporated or some shit. Can't see them letting Whedon get that much control over it.

Their personalities arent ultimate based. No matter how much chithauri, or black nick fury we get. Millar would ruin that. I'd take whedon over Millar every day of the week.

I can see it now. Teaser trailer for A3:

Flash to Thanos, standing in a large room in space breathing heavily. Pan around to see characters from the last ten years of Marvel films either unconscious or dead on the floor around him. Panning until it stops behind Thanos, looking over his shoulder. Cap barely holding himself up, starts to walk towards him. Cut to Thor's hammer sitting between them, and a red globe reaching down to grip it - AVENGERS 3.
 
Considering how accurate everyone else looks, I'm not worried about the Nova outfits yet. I do agree they look a bit tacky and not accurate to the comics in their current form though. Hopefully they are made better in post or these are simply Nova grunts and we haven't seen what the true Novas look like yet.

It has Glenn Close, John C.Reiley, and a goofy ass looking Drax. Even the music used in the trailer just reminds me of those goofy 90s sci-fi films like Mars Attacks, Galaxy Quest, and Lost in Space.

Millar's take is never going to make it on the screen. Only the design aesthetics from the Ultimate Universe are ever going to be used since every one in that reality is a dick.

The Novas are the only thing bothering me so far. Like you suggested, I assumed they were just low ranking corpsmen.

maybe it doesn't translate to the screen very easily.

In the pictures in the OP the looseness of the cloth and the armor plating looks all wrong.
