Full disclosure that MK's not my jam, and from a presentation standpoint the character designs seemed so GWAR and the animations seemed so mo-cap. KI3 blows it away.

I know this might be racially insensitive; but the first thing that popped into my head when I saw how bad ass Chief Thunder looks was this inappropriate tagline: "What makes the Red Man red? He is covered in your blood."

Actually, that's pretty awesome. I hope someone, somewhere has used that for a movie tagline.

Some people incorrectly use the term Beat 'em Up (Final Fight, Streets of Rage) to refer to Fighting Games (Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, not smash brothers).

He's most likely from the UK and that's what we used to call games like SF and MK. Only cos of constant bitching from Americans as well as online videos has fighting games started to become the favoured nomenclature.

I preferred the old bald/Mohican style Thunder from the original but Double Helix really seems to be going out of their way and making their version as unique as possible.

If your implication is that this was originally a 360 game, it's more likely that the new controller was not completed when dev kits were distributed.

that shot is misleading. he doesnt look anything like the arbiter.
He is more similar to a metro 2033 dark one, covered in ice.

Not really. He's hunched over with a long neck, fat feet and hands with 3 fingers. Essentially the exact same structure as the Arbiter. Even his face looks like Arby's helmet. -_____-

lol i never noticed arby only had 3 fingers. to be fair glacius always had big feat and hands.

Original Glacius was basically Twelve with nipples and made out of ice. Not sure if that's something that can be botched.
