Honestly this just looks like Crysis 3 level eye candy to me. Gotdamn.
Reminds me of a map from crysis 2:

I have to say, I miss that highly stylized K2 look as well, though this looks great.KZ SF looks a lot like Crysis in general. I personally preferred the art direction of previous Killzone games.
Crysis 2 looks better than this game and then with Maldo's textures... too good.

I remember when they first revealed it and it was really blurry and post-processed, I think that looked awesome. They ended up clearing the game up a lot...
Crysis 2 looks better than this game
So when are we going to get a full direct feed match?

Do you guys think they'll add the DoF before launch?
Have to disagree there. Hell, it looks as good as Crysis 3 to me.
The uber tweaked Maldo version looks better, but that's it.... And it's indicative of how ridiculously good this game looks that people are comparing it to the absolute cutting edge of PC gaming.
the single player (initial terrorist demo) looks better than Crysis 2 and Crysis 3, simply because of the art direction.
the actual tech is way behind, obviously.
Tech isn't that far off. If they get the post processing from Feb back in and the newer AA method they mentioned in the first tech presentation it'll be pretty damn close.
FoV is actually a lot wider than previous games. The weapon position is what's off. It's not distracting like it was at E3 but it's still not quite in the sweet spot for this FoV.looking at the crysis vs KZ shot comparison......... uggghhh at Killzone's FOV.
Do we have numbers of multiplayer count etc and whether clans are back in?
24 players max
wish they had gone for bigger maps and 42 or 32 players
I think 24 is a pretty good sweet spot for Killzone, especially since there don't seem to be any vehicles.. Enough to be hectic without getting too far into clusterfuck territory. BC1, BC2, and BF3 all had 24 players on consoles and felt very populated and I doubt the maps in this will be anywhere near that size.

Killzone's MP isn't made to be similar to something like Battlefield or other open-level shooters. It wouldn't suit it. It's a down to the ground, in your face infantry faceoff on smaller scale maps. 24 players is perfect.
That shit was a blast in the early days of the game though. Just utter chaos.

looks like the multiplayer is still in pre alpha, not playable at gamescom eh?

it reminded me of the Villa, a map in Rainbow Six Vegas 2:

Really? I was hoping to get some footage of some matches today. This makes me kinda nervous actually.
32 players was mainly a clusterfuck because of GG's idiotic decision to let the players throw Spawn Grenades on the fucking objective.
And we have the next gen debut of wall guy as well.![]()
depends. If they are going for 60 FPS, they will will remove dof and motion blur (none are present atm). If they lock at 30 FPS then they will add dof, motion blur and AA.
Looks like motion blur in this screenshot:
wow, such graphics
but the ps4 is not suppose to be able to put out this quality because the gpu isn't a fucking titan..... it'z teh low in pee cee
Not with shu playing. He was terrible. Lol
Jeez the visuals are insane, and the game looks fun, but hows the gunplay and controls?
30fps, FXAA. Yep... you got dem PCs good brother. Fight the good fight.
gunplay/controls was always good in killzone.
