Honestly this just looks like Crysis 3 level eye candy to me. Gotdamn.

wow, such graphics

but the ps4 is not suppose to be able to put out this quality because the gpu isn't a fucking titan..... it'z teh low in pee cee

KZ SF looks a lot like Crysis in general. I personally preferred the art direction of previous Killzone games.
I have to say, I miss that highly stylized K2 look as well, though this looks great.

I remember when they first revealed it and it was really blurry and post-processed, I think that looked awesome. They ended up clearing the game up a lot...

I remember hearing one of the art-directors saying he was most proud of the Helghast side of town. I have no doubt that will be gritty as fuck and more atmospheric.

What we've seen is supposed to look colourfull and shiny. You have to want to live there and protect it. We've seen glimpses of gritty.

Have to disagree there. Hell, it looks as good as Crysis 3 to me.

The uber tweaked Maldo version looks better, but that's it.... And it's indicative of how ridiculously good this game looks that people are comparing it to the absolute cutting edge of PC gaming.

the single player (initial terrorist demo) looks better than Crysis 2 and Crysis 3, simply because of the art direction.

the actual tech is way behind, obviously.

These new screens definitely look nice. I really wish this game was running at 60fps though. I just think more developers need to make that their target on these new consoles. I was super happy to hear 343 made that a priority going forward.

Tech isn't that far off. If they get the post processing from Feb back in and the newer AA method they mentioned in the first tech presentation it'll be pretty damn close.

wish they had gone for bigger maps and 42 or 32 players

I think 24 is a pretty good sweet spot for Killzone, especially since there don't seem to be any vehicles.. Enough to be hectic without getting too far into clusterfuck territory. BC1, BC2, and BF3 all had 24 players on consoles and felt very populated and I doubt the maps in this will be anywhere near that size.

Killzone's MP isn't made to be similar to something like Battlefield or other open-level shooters. It wouldn't suit it. It's a down to the ground, in your face infantry faceoff on smaller scale maps. 24 players is perfect.

I dunno, KZ2's multiplayer with 32 players is really awesome. It's a clusterf*** but it's awesome!

That shit was a blast in the early days of the game though. Just utter chaos.

All 4 spawn grenades in the S&D room in Radec Academy; 32 people constantly spawning every few seconds; grenades, C4, and rockets exploding everywhere -- and some guy still manages to somehow arm the objective amidst all of that.

Actually BC2 was 32 IIRC.

32 players was mainly a clusterfuck because of GG's idiotic decision to let the players throw Spawn Grenades on the fucking objective.

Those were the days. I remember just destroying teams because of their own stupidity. Just camping at their spawn with the shotty. Are spawn grenades coming back for KZ SF?

Edit: If there is a GAF clan for this they should split it US vs Euros. Was fun playing against the laggy Euros in K2.

Not with shu playing. He was terrible. Lol

Are you crazy? Shu was so damn good his mere presence made the enemy freeze up and lose the will to fight. He has the aura of a winner, that's more valuable than the ability to actually shoot people standing still in front of you. ;)

I especially laughed when the Helghast in front of him stopped and turned his back, so Shu meleed him... and then meleed the air a few more times for good measure lol.

I just noticed the callouts for the part of the map you're in under the radar, that could come in pretty handy for communicating with other players, even outside competitive or clan play. I'm really excited for this game. I loved KZ2. 24 players isn't really an issue for me, I always thought that that was the sweet spot in KZ2. I'm really happy that they're bringing back all the customization. The free DLC is also great, ensuring the multiplayer has a longer life without splitting up the playerbase every time new DLC comes out. For me personally, this game alone destroys the XBO launch line-up.
