Draw Slasher is an awful game. I felt the need to state that.

Also, today's the last day to get any votes in for Game of the Month. Get to voting if you haven't done so already!

Alright nerds, it's time to play the voting game again.

From today until the 29th, anyone interested in voting for next month's Game of the Month must PM me with their top 5 choices, in order of preference. If you don't provide an order, I'll assume that the order you list them in is the preference. Each game gets points in order of preference, from 5 to 1, and the game with the most points is the winner. Once a game has been chosen, I'll randomly ask someone who voted for the game as #1 to provide a short write-up for it like the one in this and the previous threads.

Criteria for voting:
  • Games voted for must have been released at any time prior to the month the thread is for, including previous months.
  • Only games released up to the 27th, the last PSN update day in August, will count for this round of voting.
  • Retail, Digital only and PlayStation Mobile games are all valid.
Note - If you vote for a game that's already been selected as GotM, I'll disregard it's placement and scroll everything else up by one. For reference, the following games have already been selected previously.

Since Vita review builds are already out there, I assume the delay is to dissuade people from buying it Day 1 at a cheaper price than the identical console versions.

I hope I'm wrong, though. If the game's identical to the console versions, charge the same price instead of so blatantly attempting to force us to buy it twice.
 
Man I'm wondering if I should double dip on Skullgirls and triple dip on Spelunky starting tomorrow. Don't know about SG but Spelunky on dat OLED...so tempted.

Kat is an expert character, so harder to use but really good in my opinion.

Also it looks like throwing my vita in the dmz hopefully fixed my connection issue. I think. Might pick up doa 5 on sale after all.

Yeah, I think it is the reason. At least it is just two weaks, so I take the lower price.

Last I heard, Lab Zero is thinking about it since a lot of folks were requesting it. Not sure if it'll happen though. Only time will tell.

I think it's a nice introductory. You have 6 buttons like Street Fighter: 3 sets of punches and 3 set of kicks. You can also pick to fight as an individual Skullgirl, in pairs, or as a trio. It has easy to learn combos. Even as a non-fighting fan, it sure does look purty seeing them fight.
 
My goodness. Over the next three weeks, I'll be playing Spelunky (Vita), Rayman Legends (Vita), Castle Of Illusion (PS3), and Puppeteer (PS3). I feel like I'm in pure platforming heaven. :-o
 
whew picked up New little kings story - taking a break from P4G. i'm loving it so far, such a different type of game compared to the mundane. i'm noticing some of the tweaks from they did since the wii version... i'm not hating the new anime art as much as i thought i would... i think i like the chibi 3d style a lot more than the "child" form you play as in the wii ver. same goes for the anime vs the watercolor childrens book...

good game for the price of my lunch!

Would buy Day 1 even at full price. Have been loving it on PC. One of the few fighters ill play online.

It's definitely a case of it basically being the same exact game. Personally I don't mind the wait. Rayman Legends was amazing on vita and I can easily hold out if the price is cheaper. Definitely wouldnt grab it if it was priced same as console versions.

Random note is GOW 1&2 going to be there you think? Is it even coming out this year? They announced it at E3 yet I can't find much info on it. Not even available for preorder at gamestop. I expect another Walking Dead case where it comes outta no where.

Yeah, im not sure, but its a game im really interested in myself to be honest. There are quite a few Vita games that we know exsist, but have seen nothing of yet though GOW being one, Dead Nation, Borderlands 2, and a couple others.

I hope we see something soon, as despite wanting them to be good, I am abit worried about the ports for GOW, and Borderlands in terms of performance.

No date yet, but when a company is hiding a port you know there is something wrong with the games performance/look.

That is true. Almost all the HD ports have had performance issues. Which is sad.

I played Unit 13 and indeed liked it. Though a part of me wishes it had a actual campaign along with the missions. Would've been really cool.

I disagree. It filled the FPS gap and was a sort of proof of concept that FPS games can work on the Vita. It wasn't anything spectacular by any measure, but it was decent for what it was.
 
So machinirium is the free game for NA this month, as a new vita owner that kinda sucks :/ was hoping for something more AAA
 
Well, it happened. I bought a game for hardware I don't own. Planning to get a Vita next month for my b-day, and so I spent a whole two bucks on Mutant Blobs Attack before the sale ends today.

I was actually hovering around the confirm purchase button last night. I would have been pissed if I actually bought the thing.
