yup its pretty horrid. Hardcore NG fans will disagree though.

The platforming sections are freaking terrible as well.

I went with my old bud on Saturday to find him a vita. He got the Unit 13 + 4gb + 1 yr PSN + for $200 at gamestop, of all places. I tried to recommend he get at least a 16gb card but he didn't listen.

Went back to my house where he had to create a PSN handle. At that point he had to decide where to take up his space from the IGC.

I showed him Spelunky on PC and we wound up taking turns for 4+ hours.

I think he caught the bug as well. I need more co-op partners
 
Oh man. I thought this couldn't happen. Was downloading DOA5+ at work, and it looked like ti was going to be done *right* when I was going to my meal break. Well, the wifi here is one where you have to log in on a seperate IE page first. The wifi here is also painfully slow. Well, 30 min left of the 2.5gb download, my network pass resets. No biggie, just go and re accept. Done! Now to press resume on my download and watch it tick ever closer to completio-

It started downloading again, from the very beginning. It must have deleted the data somewhere. Not sure how, or where. I did the "delete all" on my notifications list, but that was while it was downloading earlier. Oh man. Just wanted to see how it is, since Spelunky will likely be taking most of my time this evening....

This happen to anyone else before? Probably was my own fault, but this is the first I've seen of it. Poop!

man i'm barely interested in this game, but the fact that someone can get turned on to it and addicted, has me foaming at the mouth. grrr.

all i do now on vita, is play a game for a week, buy a new game from tuesday sale/release, stop playing old game and play new game till next weeks purchase....rinse and repeat.

vita = backlog whore.
 
So that NLKS sure has small sized font... The frame rate issues have been widely commented on here, but that tiny text really caught me off guard.

If you could see how many games I have that are on permanent backlog because of this game you'd laugh...

until you play spelunky. it's like you're infected with the T-Virus, but it looks so innocuous. I think that part of the problem as well as the appeal.

if you've played any game before you can play this game, but to do well and be successful is a completely different story. I also don't think i've ever enjoyed random dungeons more before. it makes the simplest runs so diverse.

and once you guys get to play it (perhaps for the first time) you'll die a bunch, but dying never felt so good as when you have a jetpack on your back. it's bittersweet
 
i'm a couple hours into NLKS and haven't experienced any framedrops yet. been pikmin'ing it up with my soldiers and builders!

text hasnt been an issue for me.

yeah i stopped playing "campaign" games on my vita because of this (sorry p4g & mgs!) and i only rock pick up n play games like hot shots golf and SPELUNKY

i've had 2-4 hiccups as they were in my 3 hours of play. honestly, i've experienced much more with Dragon's Crown single player than with this game in the same amount of play time.

this could be due to the fact that my party is up to 8 villagers. I would assume it gets larger and could increase these frames being dropped, but if this is the majority of the problems people are having, they've been grossly overstated.

id start it off on your throne, going to recruit new villagers, giving them jobs, then collecting some loot and possibly building a new structure in your town.

i think that would give him the best idea as to what your "day-to-day" would be like

Ah yea I think I remember reading about it. I am going in to this game almost totally blind - never played it, have only watched maybe one 2 minute trailer, and have read a very short blurb on the PS Blog about it. So I apologize for my lack of Spelunknowledge. Well, now to hunt out local miners....

As others have said, Spelunky, along with Floating Cloud God Saves The Pilgrims in HD! and The HD Adventures of Rotating Octopus Character. We were also supposed to get Real Boxing, but that's been delayed in NA at least a week.

While I agree,a nd I usually try to have large amounts of free space on my devices, Vita is one exception. I almost always have it loaded up. Reason being is that since I always have it with me, everywhere I go, if there's a chance to play it for a few, or if I get a wild urge to play a game, I'd like to be able to load it up righ then then and there. I'm not all digital, I actually prefer physical games (I have 17 physical games), but I will admit the ease of having all that goodness just a touch away is joy and delight. I curse & adore PS Plus for this. I don't mind the juggling, really, because who can hate having too many games!!

Yeah, Its a space war. I was getting thrashed trying to juggle two 4GB cards. It was NOT pretty. Since I got my 16GB, Things have been perfect. I've been fighting the urge to load up pretty well. I have about 9-10 GB's free right now.

Also, whats saving my ass is my choice to go retail for my AAA games. What a wonderful decision... Hasn't let me down.

Yeah... If you haven't played Ninja Gaiden before... I highly doubt you'd like it on Vita... 30 fps changes the games handling and it controls pretty rough. You may be in for a rough time sadly...

If I could suggest to you, If you really wanna play the game... Pick up a copy of Ninja Gaiden Black and play it on a 360. Even NG Sigma on PS3 isn't a bad alternative.

I really do believe the Vita ports are for core fans only. They'd be the only ones to put up with it. Lol

Man, I buy retail games physically too for the most part, and I still have completely run out of space on my two 16GB, one 8GB, and one 4GB. That even having deleted many of my games to make room. It's rough.
 
just saw a video of Divekick... now I am really conflicted
I feel like getting it just to support devs for going Cross-buy

lol and I need to uninstall games from my 32GB again
