Ok fair enough.

I choose Wii U and 3DS for its unique and great quality, generation defining (yes Mario Galaxy 1 and 2) hell of a lot fun games.

I also choose PC, free online MP, better graphics and performance, multiplats are better, 1080p60, MODs and cheap games.

So best of both worlds!!

I wasn't talking in terms of visuals, I meant they look like titles that have most recently appeared on 3DS. Mario 3D World looks like nothing but a step down from Mario Galaxy. I fail to see what is appealling here.

Well, if he's comparing the launch line-ups of the X1/PS4 to what Nintendo will be offering this fall, I find it hard to disagree with him. I'm skipping the PS4 this holiday because I am not interested in a single launch game (will probably get it next holiday), but the Wii U has at least half a dozen games I'd want that are arriving within the next few months.

They should talk about the tech. I bet a lot of people don't know you can completely beam a game to the GamePad to free up the TV, or even beam Amazon Video, Netflix, Hulu, or browse the web on it.

If the message was driven home that it can be a versatile entertainment device in addition to having trademark Nintendo games most consumers wouldn't have a problem seeing the value proposition.

When he talks about Zelda, Mario and DK he talks about Zelda Wind Waker HD, Mario 3D World and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, so in other words, Nintendo's upcoming titles. I don't think it's really that hard to understand...

No I would expect that he would work to attempt to bring the big third party games on his system.. And maybe he is trying, who knows what goes on while he looks upon the vacant ceiling of his apartment.

Third party developers don't have any interest in bringing their games to the Wii U and I can't blame them. However, the reasons for the Wii U's failings (hardware or software design) are not Reggie's responsibility. I have no doubts that Reggie would like to have those games on the Wii U but they're not, his job is to promote the ones that are.

In his defense, I agree that the launch lineups are pretty meh. But a year from now, if there's anyone silly enough to be on the fence, trying to decide between a WiiU or a PS4/Xbox One, those people will be missing a lot more if they go with the WiiU. Nintendo consoles are supplemental systems.

They're all grade-A topnotch game developers(at least to many).

EAD Tokyo said Mario 3D World is a culmination of all the best ideas from all the 3D Mario games, I think they deserve the benefit of any doubt but that's me.

Pikmin 3 was excellent, The Wonderful 101 is getting ultra high-praise here, the remaining 2013 big games will likely not disappoint.

The quality's going to be very strong but maybe you don't like the genres.

That's exactly the problem. He's doing a terrible job. He can praise his company's console all he wants, but going full out: "The launch catalog of the other consoles is meh" is a direct spit to the third party developers who are making those launch games.

It's basically like saying: "Oh yeah, all those games? First AND Third Party on the other consoles? They look uninteresting. I dont' care for them".

As a PR person he should think before speaking. He may be giving his opinion, but it is still PR talk, and PR talk speaks for the company he is representing. You just don't do that to Third Party developers, or else you end up like...

And if you are a huge Nintendo fan, how many studios are creating interesting original content for Nintendo systems in North America. That is his fucking job....ok let's push it a little further, how many great games is he not getting translated and released in your area. To pub it further, why are games such as the Metroid Trilogy, and Xeno whatever being resold to you at a crazy price. I somewhat agree with him on the launch titles hence why I'm getting a Wii U this year (Wind Waker bundle most likely) and a PS4 next year. But he honestly shouldn't talk smack about console launches when the Wii U's was as disastrous as it was.

Not to mention that fact that Sony wished Nintendo well with the Wii U when it launched so that really makes Reggie look like a douche here.
