GTA V has gone gold.

Unique areas are really what make something memorable. San Andreas was huge, but had these very distinct feelings depending on the area, and what made the wilderness feel so isolated (like when CJ gets dropped off in the middle of nowhere after the Los Santos chapter), was that you had Los Santos as this over-bearing inescapable city -- getting shot at at every turn, congested, busy.
This is what makes me really hyped for GTA V. We got the various locations in LS, the desert, forests, mountains, and underwater to explore. The addition of wildlife is even better.

I agree with UrbanRat's overall point, but I think you're spot on in your last sentence about Just Cause 2. Game world was huge and beautiful, but I just felt like it was so cookie cutter boring. No area felt unique. Seemed like the same cars, the same traffic, the same people walking around doing the same things.

Yeah, spot on. Each city felt distinct. I always thought it was amazing how they created 3 cities and each of them could have been their own game. Especially Los Santos.

Oh shiiii.

I don't know about the rest of you guys and gals, but I'm ok with the map getting leaked. It would be nice have an idea of the area and locations of where I'll be living this winter.

With the amount of time and effort rockstar need to make a GTA these days, I'm thinking we will only see one installment released for the next gen.

I doubt we will see the next game until the end of the next generation either.

Actual leaks are inevitable, but yeah, a closer look at the pic above with Franklin, its definetely fake.

Only a matter of time before something real slips out though.

Fake. UI does not match up with the gameplay trailer.

Don't be so gullible.

Yep. In the upper right hand corner it should display weapon ammo and what's in the clip. That image displays "- -" even though it should be "44 4". I checked the gameplay trailer just to make sure that the ammo doesn't change simply because you highlight another weapon and it doesn't. The ammo count only changes when you select the weapon and the weapon wheel disappears.

The game case seems to be fake, until someone posts the map or an actual gameplay video I consider it fake. The gameplay of Franklin is clearly fake, that place is not anywhere close to being Los Santos and the Corvette is a mod.

Welp, after 7 years my launch 360 red ringed for the third time. But I had resolved to get a Slim before GTA V dropped, fearing all the stuttering, freezing and train station noise would be it's end.

Sure, enough- it died. I got a Slim today, and I miss my GTA IV faceplate. Holy goodness, why is this thing so silent?! All these years, this is what I've been missing?

Here's hoping this one lasts many years of GTA V to come! The man at the counter looked so perplexed and asked "why are you buying this system right before the Xbox One and PS4 come out?"

GTA V my friend, GTA V.

Damn. Reminds me of when my 360 broke down the day that RDR came out. For a week or two I'd be getting some odd performance... but that Tuesday night, riding around the wilderness I started noticing some visual errors with the sky, streakiness and a purple huge and lots of visual vugs.. and I thought that it was the game... 10 mins later, my 360 locked up and gave me some horrific video errors. Rebooted and it red ringer.

Went on Amazon and just bought a slim 360 that night with 1 day shipping. I just wasn't going to deal with the BS of sending it in. I sent in the old one and got it fixed after, but I was happy to have 2 360s.

Had the same issue w/ my Xbox 360 when GTA IV launched.

Bought it for 360, RROD the same night. Got in my car, and went and bought it for PS3.

I also (re)bought a 360 for GTAV and RDR. (basically)
This was several months ago, though.

It has been taking dust all this time, but it'll get extra usage in a couple of weeks.

It's crazy how that shit happens- right at these big release moments! Like, it's the one game you've been looking forward to for years, and BLAM! Red Ring! Two 360s sounds like the good life though, one to fall back on just in case!

I literally set it up, downloaded my profile, and then downloaded Red Dead. That'll be all I need on there until V comes out- still so wonderful!

I remember when our 360 red ringed literally about eight or ten hours before Halo 3 was about to come out. The timing is just great for things to fail sometimes. Enjoy your Slim!
