Man, I really want to buy this game, but the silence from ubisoft about this problem is making it worse for me.
I don't want to support a company who is apparently trying to rip me off. Ubisoft needs to be clear about if they want me to buy this game full price and they better offer the missing levels as an free update.
Damn shame, I was going to get it on Vita as Origins is coming up on PS+ but I'll pick another platform.
For shaaaaaaame Ubisoft, for shame...
Even more interesting, on this tweet (not including mine at the bottom), there were several more requests asking about the missing levels on the Vita version. These tweets no longer show up. I don't know Twitter very well, but I know I saw them earlier this morning.

Are they even purposely ignoring Twitter feeds and deleting negative comments (is this possible on Twitter)?
looks like they're deleting tweets
Ubisoft reaching new lows...
Is it ?
Only if a new Rayman is on the cards at that point for Vita ... Origins is a much more obvious Playstation Plus packin in the light of Legends coming out for Vita, don't you think? Just like Borderlands become Playstation Plus not long before Borderlands 2's release.
So life not necessarily easier.
I hope the press keeps asking the question so they will be forced to answer.
Good. Better than expected. Man just SAY IT if that was the situation. People will understand.Ubisoft Official Statement:
Thanks so much for you passion about this game. I'm currently playing the Vita version and loving it. That said, I know some of you have questions about the Vita version, so here's what's going on: Due to a longer development time than expected, we couldnt initially include the Invasion Mode essentially, a second take on existing Rayman Legends maps -- in the Vita version of the game. However, we can confirm that the Invasion Mode will be added via a free patch, at a later date. With more than 100 levels, online Coop and challenges, Kung-Foot mini-game, 5 exclusive touch challenges developed specifically for the VITA and 2 exclusive costumes, Rayman Legends already includes a lot for customers to love, and features the same outstanding graphics and gameplay design as the home console versions.

Side question: how are the touch and tilt controls handled on PS3? I have the Vita version, and I hate the hell out of those segments.

I wish they'd allow that style for Vita. Tilting and touching suuuucks. You control is like a normal level, but you can press circle to make Murphy do his actions, or you can use L1 and R1 to rotate things when needed.
Personally I think it's much better than touch and gyro.

How do you power up the lums on PS3, though?
I really hope people now consider picking the Vita version up. If you liked Origins on the Vita, you will no doubt like this game as well.
My guess as to the reason for the silence...
They were checking out the very early initial numbers and getting a rough estimate for how many people were playing the Vita version (could have looked at digital downloads plus how many unique users were visiting their servers and had a rough idea), factored in how many people may indeed purchase the game in the near future (which was not that many if they read gaming websites and found out about the missing levels) and they figured out just how much they stood to make and/or lose by releasing those levels as paid DLC. As such, they decided the continued outrage of the community was not worth the money they stood to make off the Vita version, which I have to imagine was not a huge number to begin with.
Conspiracy theory? I thought it was just called running a business. Which the last time I checked that is what they do. And running a business is about making money.i don't get what you have to go full conspiracy on this , i believe the official statement , the vita version was announce late probably because they were not sure if they could release it in the same time window, they tried to put all the content but didn't manage it in time , it all checks out.
they have business people who also know it is damaging for the rayman brand to not include it, they probably decided that better to release the version in the same timeline to have the ads for all plateform than missing the windows because they didn't have time to add theses in the game.
not everyone is out to get you, plus ubisoft is one of the only supporting vita with big titles right now ...
Vita version is 36-40 right? I'll pay the difference to console version for dlc.
Now just offer that.

Too bad they didn't give any sort of time-frame. A patch like that can take quite a while. I'm not sure I want to play the game and the come back a few weeks later to just play invasion levels. Still very happy that they are doing this.

EU/UK retailers have the game in stock and are starting to send out now, so unless the patch is due imminently, I doubt it was the reason for the delay.I can't help but think its the reason they delayed in Europe. It's the only reason I can see for delay. So hopefully they are wanting to have it out by then. That doesn't explain the lack of a delay in NA, but still.

reading what others are writing in here, what in the world makes the vita version the "definitive" one?
Has all the content plus 5 exclusive Murfy levels, and you can take it with you anywhere. The dpad on Vita is one of the best ever, and the OLED screen is PERFECT for the colorful art style.
It's not universally "definitive". It's the "definitive" one for me and many others who aren't too interested in co-op. Wii U version would be "definitive" if you're really interested in co-op AND you like the Murfy touch stuff, and any of the other consoles if you like co-op and you DON'T like the Murfy touch stuff. Basically, it just depends on what you want. But yeah, Vita does technically have the most content, and it's portable.
