I can't believe how many people are finishing the game already. Main quest anyway. Also can't believe how many level 50's there are. What are you people going to do now, start another character? I thought I was sailing with a lvl 24. You guys literally must be playing all day every day.

Oh damn thanks for the tip. I have LTW at 29 so I think I'll pause and get Alc to 15 so I can get that skill. It's pretty crazy.

you are going to want hasty touch since it is the "increase quality" with out spending cp skill. It is one of the most pivotal skills to get imo.
Also Ingenuity is helpful (actually 7/8 of the level 15 skills are useful. Armorer got the shaft majorly... seriously why use that when I can use Careful Synth I and later II?). It will let me bypass most of the "diremite hell" for weaving with what I have planneed.

Also, any cool/funny character names you've seen in-game where you had to do a double-take?

I guess I'm lucky with the Duty Finder, did The Stone Vigil and 3 of us were new to it and the Tank only got up to the first boss with his previous run. We rocked that place, only 2 wipes on trash mobs, but we lay down the law on the bosses. I must say the latter dungeons sure do have fun Boss mechanics.

I've had really good Duty Finder parties so far for the most part, either as a WHM or a THM. It's not that rare, you just end up with someone who doesn't know what they are doing or a diva. I think the only random groups I ever got that were bad was one with a tank spec'd in level 35 gear for the Garuda fight and another tank who didn't use any enmity skills at all and let mobs roam free as they may.

I guess it can depend on your class though if the party can make it through a dungeon or not.

When you hit 50 you can start all over again with other Classes and Jobs on the same character. And then you can go Achievement hunting for all the fancy titles, I'm so gonna be called the Honest Gillionaire! There is plenty to do, when you hit 50 you're just beginning.

End game stuff like darklight gear and relic weapons. Some in the guild even are pretty close to getting both.

Level other classes to branch into more jobs
Run stuff for tomes to get the lvl 50 blues!
Crafting! and making lotsa Gil

Just like all the other MMORPG end game scenarios after hitting 50 :P

how to unlock the hunting log 3 for my company? they tell me i have to talk to my commander, but she doesn't give me anything. i already finished log number 2.

funny enough, i tend to have zero interest in end game gear hunting besides dps classes where i'm out for numbers.

And i can't see me doing that for this.

the damage you do in this game is too low to get me any sort of damage boner.

>_<; http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/character/1039170/

Gonna craft when I'm not running dungeons with FreeCompany, also work on Relic. I already have some Darklight but need to work on regearing my jobs now that what I have is meh.

Really all there is to do would be crafting, farm tombstones, work on relics, and fight primals, also get other players in FC caught up finishing main story quest that need help.

bahahah thats amazing.

As far as npc's I don't pay attention all that often, I know there was a strange one in Limsa that was "Asghkji" or something. It reminded me of the faceroll goldfarmers use to name.

As far as player characters go
human named Bryan Cranston running around in just his bottom underwear. that was amazing

Mango Sentinel - that got a laugh out of me. awesome name.
Steelballs Mcawesome

Normally In WoW and other games, stupid/silly names are common. Usually its all you see. In FF there tends to be way more serious normal names. So the silly ones really stand out sometimes. Maybe thats just me.

I think the two name convention lends itself to a more serious nature of naming. On the other hand it also means people can name themselves shit like Hashtag Yolo.

Just finished Qarn a while ago with the help of Kira and Kirito. Terribly difficult dungeon for me. I don't have much interest in running it again.

Wow, I just waited for 2 hours in queue for the livesupport chat, just to have it tell me "Nobody is available to chat with you, your request has been cancelled" when I hit #1.

I ordered a physical copy of this that will arrive tomorrow or the day after that. I have to experience this shit first hand.

Oh man that final dungeon for the storyline, so cool!

VVspoilersVV

I just wished my girl could've gotten a kiss from Minfilia at the end. Y'know, save the world, get the girl ending. :(

Onto hard modes I guess.

I'm really frustrated. I incorrectly registered my service account to a new account instead of my existing, and it still has not been fixed.

Ticket has been open for a week, their phone support is off the hook, and live chat has dumped me into a "request cancelled" message twice in a row. All the while my free trial period is ticking away.

I could really use a performance guide. I'm running an Nvidia 760, and while the game runs perfectly fine most of the time, I get those weird framerate drops depending on how the camera is angled. It seems to occur whenever I have an Aethercyte crystal in front of me, or looking at some of the tall trees in the Shroud, and so on. I get perfect 60 fps in dungeons and a few FATEs as well, but there are these odd moments here and there where the framerate just dips.

I'm wondering if it's a shadow or lighting setting, or something else I could try adjusting.

Dungeon gear is bind-on-pickup for the most part.

You turn in the loot at the grand company you are a member of.

FPS will always drop when you're nearing a crystal in a populated area. No CPU/GPU combo can prevent that from what I've been reading. Other than that, it runs smooth for me for the most part (1920x1080 @ 60 FPS) with my 3570k/660ti. I do drop as low as 45 FPS at times, though.

Some items are untradable and others bind to your character when you equip it and become untradable.

Thanks.

Looking forward to logging in tonight with literally zero issues during east coast prime time.

May YoshiP bestow upon me his blessings.

How come? Is it something server-side?
