Yeah, I really enjoyed Saints Row 2. It had a good balance between serious and stupid.
Just finished the IGN Q&A. Someone asked about the Kavinsky station and they said they haven't seen anything. Sucks that it was fake =[ could have been a great station.

That's what I was thinking. It was on his actual twitter from him. Surprises me that the station isn't in the game.Pretty sure Kavinsky himself said he was in. Maybe negotiations broke down sometime afterwards.
No metal station also surprises me. Especially after the metal station in IV.As long as we get some sort of electronic/synth radio station, I'm happy.
It sucks that there is no metal station, though.
Loving that Stealth actually will be a big element in the game. suppressed weapons. Its pretty sad im looking forward to some good stealth in a GTA game when all the normal stealth games have gone herpderpcod
Splinter Cell Blacklist is pretty damn good, I like it more than Chaos Theory.
Twitch TV wasn't around when GTA IV came out.I cannot wait for the frantic twitch tv streams that keep popping up and going down. lol. Those were some good memories of gtaIV
People keep saying this (the first part...not the 2nd blasphemous part) but I still find it extremely hard to believe they made a good stealth game while focusing on action. It reminds me of everyone running around saying Dishonored and Deus Ex HR were great stealth games right after they came out.
off topic but I had to get that out. I've been seeing it too many times lately.
I am referring to his GTA IV comment. Twitch wasn't around when that game came out. I don't even recall that many game streams back in 08 outside retro/WOW.people were streaming themselves cracking into the PSN GTAV leak and playing those TV commercials and Rockstar was even taking those down left and right .
I watched a GTA IV stream on Justin.tv back in the day.
I am going to say you are really odd for holding that opinion without seemingly anything concrete supporting it.off topic but I had to get that out. I've been seeing it too many times lately.
Dude, have you played the game? It's not focused on action at all. It is a stealth game through and through. If you tried to play this like a shooter you would get slaughtered.

Anyway I'll say that Splinter Cell is a better stealth game than Human Revolution and Dishonored. But I would say Dishonored is more fun overall.
Well the good ones are those that are very heavily scripted, so i guess they're fun the first time around, mostly, to see what they come up with (more than the gameplay itself). That's about all it has going for it sadly. They still don't know to design missions, side content or a fun open world city.
I don't know, their humor isn't that distant from GTA's.I chose Nolan North as my character voice and from what I can tell they play it off as Nolan North playing himself, as opposed to a character. That's funny and actually seemed pretty clever. Other than that, I've been over their "humour" since Saints Row 2.
Now now, don't play victim, c'mon, you know well enough i love GTA.Don't worry, I know GAF is Saints Row territory. I'll restrain my negativity to those two posts (Rockstar doesn't pay me as much as IGN I'm afraid).

Nope, no real interest to either until it becomes extremely cheap and safe to buy. When it comes to stealth games I've learned I can only really trust myself.

Don't even bother trying to convince Derrick of anything.
I'll jump on the Saints Row hate bandwagon. Couldn't even get through 20 minutes in SR3. The world is so fake and uninteresting.
SR2 is A LOT better than SR IV, which is well improved over SR3 ( which I dislike)
Enough of SR though![]()

This website deserves a better class of official thread, and I'm gonna give it to 'em.
Blacklist is a great stealth game
I'm so excited I actually get to take part in the OT for this game. I never thought they would approve my account in time! The OT should help pass the time. I wonder what page it will get to by the time midnight launch rolls around? This website deserves a better class of official thread, and I'm gonna give it to 'em.

How can you tell that after 20 minutes? In 20 minutes you could barely beat the intro mission.
This is flat out insane, from gameplay to writing everything in SR3/4 is superior to 2. Seriously, I can't comprehend people thinking this. SR2 was fun at the time of its release but looking back (having played it in the last year) it's a pretty bad game with seriously confused writing.
Amazing. This is me, every day, looking at the calendar on my phoneSaw this on reddit. Sums up my feelings exactly.

In 20 minutes (or there about) I beat the intro mission, started the game, drove to the first mission, beat that, and realized I didn't want anything more to do with the game.
Which contradicts what I said how? I honestly can't comprehend why you'd buy a game and then only play 2 missions, nor how you could get an accurate view of "The world is so fake and uninteresting" by driving from the first mission to the second. Though I think the intro mission alone outlines that the world doesn't suffer from the dissonance seen in the majority of other open world games.

With a Deus Ex HR avatar I wouldn't trust your judgement of games either

Fuck dude you're gonna get him started again
And what's with judging people by their avatars anyway?
I bet you like that whatever that thing in your avatar is too, jerk
I'm really curious to see all the different wildlife the game has to offer. Is there any concrete info out there about how many different animal species we can expect to see?
We know of what, only 5?
-sharks
-dogs
-coyotes
-deer
-rabbits
I'm hoping there are snakes, bears and cats (domestic cats as well as cougars and bobcats, etc.)

HR was a great game what are you on about?
