GTA V has gone gold.

Can someone explain to me whats the big deal about him mentioning "cities" in the image above. Am I missing something?

some people seriously believe that there is more then 1 big city in gta5. Wishful thinking if you ask me. There are several bigger villages scattered throughout the map though. More then enough for me.

I don't know if there will be other cities(of course smaller than LS) but there has to be another BIG airport, if not where are we going to fly the 747-8s?
There was also only 1 airport in gta4. I don't see how you NEED 2 airports to fly with a big plane. You just start at los santos airport, fly around and eventually land in los santos again.

So I just finished downloading Lost & Damned. This was my favorite chunk out of the whole GTA4 experience and I'm looking forward to diving back in for a brief visit. Surprised to see Gay Tony was going for the same price as vanilla (20).

in fact we counldn't fly any plane ;)

I've been looking through the comment section on that story and this should calm people down about additional cities

@Bloodiamond94 The world of Grand Theft Auto V is made up of the greater metropolis of Los Santos and the surrounding countryside of Blaine County, which does include a number of small towns and villages within it – but nothing that would qualify as another major city.

So they're probably referring to something like that area around Mt. Chilliad in GTA:SA.

Bullshit

You have it and now trying to backtrack faster than MS.

No he said the original Vice City, from the PS2 days. I would love it if they did that as some fan service. Maybe just increase the scale a little bit, tighten up some of the graphics with GTA5 assets. I'd buy it!

But the actual city was the worst thing about that game. I'm pretty sure some of the towns in GTA5 will be bigger than Vice City was in real terms (if you exclude the MASSIVE empty beach).

I doubt there would be another big city but if there was it would probably an Anaheim/Irvine/Santa Ana area knockoff or something.

I do hope that we get a section of the mountains we have not seen specifically for snow. I do think that this is something that is being kept for us to discover. Mafia II was a great example of how the atmosphere changes with some snow.

The only time I ever remember Snow being in a GTA game was San Andreas.
Nope. The only time it snowed was GTA LCS when you get to level 9 or so of the Car Salesman missions. It doesn't settle though.

In San Andreas you see that snow has fallen when you return to Liberty City, but no snowing

I don't really want to pay an extra $20 for the special edition, but since it's sold out everywhere, I guess I'll keep it. :\

It definitely looks like snow, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

we have seen the two highest mountains in Blaine County and there is no snow.
The zancudo mountain is also arid.

In that pic there seems to be snow in a flat landscape. I really have no idea on where they are going to put it.
If it's another location like Liberty in SA I hope we can take a plane and fly visit it, it would be a waste not allowing that.

my guess is that:

is in Canada, I know it's a rumor originated on gtaforums but it would be really intriguing. oh canadaaa!

They tried that, but some people were impatient idiots and the preload was pulled.

It sucks. I preordered digitally, and now shudder at the thought of trying to download ~18 GBs (or hell, even getting the store to load) while a million others are trying to do the same.

I still hold out a microscopic hope that they'll have a preload before launch. Even if it's just a few days before launch, it would help ease the server load immensely...but that's probably not going to happen now.

That wasn't the NA though, We have never had preloads. It would be a nice surprise if a day before release they let NA preload. I mean why not?

That's the comment i was referring to before, by the way.
