Probably asked, but just in case.
Will digitally purchase PSP games work? Like they do on Vita?
Yes they will, If Sony hasn't changed anything...

Wait. Where's the remote? Sony, don't screw this up. That's just dumb to not include a remote!
Nope.
Not at launch anyway.

But that's just it; for the "regular" people, it's a $100 set top box that will stream netflix and hulu and whatever, while also offering PSX/PSP/PSV games and acting as a port for a second TV to access the PS4.
Streaming at 24 FPS yes, which is what movies are.
Would you be comfortable playing games at sub 30 FPS? It would have to lock in the 5 GHz range transmission wise to this also IMO to achieve enough bandwidth.
And 5 GHz has more wall issues in the end then 2.4 GHz, so the range would come down a little for that bandwidth.
IMO they just played it safe and kept it at 720p to make sure that everyone gets good FPS for games.
EDIT: also add in wireless having packet loss and variable latency due to RF multipathing and other effects, and it gets a lot tougher to do high rez/high fps transmissions at a significant range to be useful.
Easier, maybe. That HDMI signal might be HDCP protected.
Nope.

Of course, I don't see a UMD drive...
Now this is a Vita that I would actually buy!
Pretty cool move by Sony. Who saw this coming?!
Wait does this play PS vita games natively or does it just stream them?
Also why would I stream PS4 games from my TV to my TV.
Seems great. I am considering getting one just to play the download PSP collection I foolishly bought years ago. Also wouldn't mind getting this and a year of PS+ just to try out Gravity Rush and WipEout 2048.

Holy shit.
I say this as part of the Vita is doomed brigade, but this could honestly be a game changer.
This is a $100 home console. This is not a handheld. People love cheap consoles. Sony just needs to get games on it.

Stream to another TV.
And the point of that is?
I've not counted, but I'm pretty sure there are at least over 200 games you can play on the Vita.
If the TV the PS4 is hooked into is occupied?
I just read that this is Japan only? Is that accurate?

So PS4/Vita TV bundle for $499? That would be amazing.
Perhaps this was answered earlier, but too many pages...
How will it handle Vita games that support/require the touchpad?
DS4, I presume?
Why wouldn't you just move the PS4??

Sony needs to design a new controller for this thing so it can actually play every Vita game because this thing is useless to me in its current form.
You're right. It does support all PSP/PS1 tiles you can buy on PSN right now though and a lot of PSV titles with the support expanding once DS4 support gets patched in. There is huge potential and for 100 dollars, you are basically getting a screen-less PSV with all the functions including PS4 remote play for PS4 playback in another room.Holy shit.

You will all set as this is basically the Vita without the screen that plugs into any HDMI port.So without combing through 45 pages of posts, has it been determined if PSN Network purchased Vita games work with this? PSN Network in general has to for PSOne and PSP games, so I don't see a good reason as to why it wouldn't for Vita games as well.
It would be cool if this was also a multimedia style device which can play a variety of different formats.
