Problem isnt difficulty its inventory space. as mentioned myself and my retainers are pretty much full up.

Leatherworker leves(15+) will randomly have aldgoat skin as a reward. If you have a decent allowance of leves then that's the best way to get it, especially the repeatable ones(which are usually the ones that require you to turn in 3 of the same item) as you can get the xp, gil, and rewards 3 times(so nine of the item in question, 3 each time) for the price of one leve. Do your best to turn in HQ items for leves as you get three times the xp.
I had the same problem as a Weaver in the mid-twenty level range when I needed diremite web. Aldgoat skin is also pretty cheap on the marketboards last I checked, unlike diremite web. ;_;
Culinarian by itself is a fucking nightmare on my inventory. Nearly all slots full and no good sorting options. I'd kill for a craft bank like Guild Wars 2 has. Also buy orders.
The servers are fine now. The only issues atm are queue times in the level 50 dungeon instances due to the number of people speedrunning.
Occasional issues here and there but nothing compared to what it was. Its 100x better now.
I haven't really looked at Lodestone very much, but I was going to try it out today. When I try to log in, I get:
"There are no characters on this FINAL FANTASY XIV service account. Use of the Lodestone requires an account with at least one character."
Uhm...what? Explain it to my level 33 Archer, SE.

No need to keep any of the fishes you catch unless you cook. Like I said, most of them have no use at all. I store everything because I'm a hoarder, but eventually I'll be vendoring them off as well when I no longer have the space.
Spoke to Square's technical support about getting my account unbanned after I was hacked and someone advertised gil selling sites with it.
Tech support was pleasant, but not very helpful. He said he'd forward my account for further investigation and that "once everything is cleared" it'd be unbanned. I asked how long that would take and he said he has no idea.
So, basically I paid for the game and a 60 day game card and I'll be lucky if I get my account back at all.
Sigh.

Once again I HAVE NO SPACE TO HOLD ANYTHING REGARDLESS. Which is why Im not doing fishing.
Yeah no kidding some sort of crafting bank or vault would have been seriously appreciated. Am doing cooking also as need the CP up foods. But some of the recipes jesus christ at how many ingredients you need. Making my most used currently pea soup takes up a ton of space with the ingredients. Among others I cook. Thank god aldgoat steak is 3 simple ingredients.

Game is great. Anybody looking to jump in with friends might want to wait until they allow server transfers cause most of the popular ones are locked down.
As far as dps taking aggro from mobs, I haven't had much issue as a marauder but its impossible to talk sense into some of these guys. In their books they are just 'nuking hard like a boss bro' and don't even pay attention to the emnity bar whatsoever. These people will struggle greatly with endgame content. I've let a few of them die to teach them a lesson, and since I pack decent damage as a marauder we can usually finish a boss even when down a man.

I love the game, but there are some truly baffling omissions. The weak flood control is one of the absolute worst. I don't want to have to filter /shout, because I like helping people out in the world with free advice, but I might be forced to. Every time I come into town there's 3-4 new 'gil sellers' just waiting to steal my account and/or credit card.
Weak flood control implies that there is flood control. Considering how frequent the spammers 'get through' I don't think there is any flood control.
In NA for retail box keys what website does it link you to to create an account (since there are a million) and where does it want you to enter the key?

So far it seems to be 100% reactionary to me. Some sort of prevention or mitigation methods would be nice to keep them out of the game, though I am not sure what they could really do. I don't think we'll ever get to the terribad economy levels that FFXI had, but I'd like to see more done to help avert this.
I don't own a vita but doesn't it have a touch screen? Could always just press hotbar buttons on screen.

How does this work, are they just buying ~$30 accounts for each of these gold spammers? I mean, I guess that isn't a huge investment, but it seems like overtime that would add up, wouldn't it?
I don't think the screen would really be big enough for that to work, and I also don't know how that works for coding in touch controls on a game over remote play. Would that even be possible?

all games require some sort of vita controls support for ps4. Most will probably just fudge it with virtual buttons on the touch screen, but I think you can go as fancy as you'd want.
It works like how... well anything works. just have sort of boolean toggle. is the ps4 doing remote play? no? ps4 controls, yes? vita controls.
You'd probably need to increase the size of the hotbar to make it easier to select individual icons. My guess is that the setup will be similar to the current PS3 controls.
They try to hack as many accounts as they can to gold spam and strip. They will even resub the account.
I guess idealy the 30$ accounts are the ones hotboxxed to farm with bots.
Cost/benefit analysis on game and account costs vs. money received from players. Even having just a few people buy gil through your service would make up the cost of the account.
I'm sure they also probably have it setup where they are getting keys for cheap or some other scheme to help offset the initial buy in and mule accounts with their gil/items on it to avoid loss when an account gets banned.

There is a very weak flood control. Spam several times and then you're locked out for 10 seconds.. but then they're right back to filling your screen with their bullshit again in rapid-fire manner. And of course they can chain several bots together so that it just scrolls nonstop and you can never even see their names to blacklist them, which seems to be self-defeating anyway. I've sometimes had to leave the zone just to blacklist them and then come back into town.

It's a lot cooler in my head where you just poke buttons on top of using the R1/L1 shortcuts but yeah I guess size is an issue assuming the touch screen actually works.

It's neat for FATEs, and I guess when clearing out solo stuff that won't thump your ass if you fight more than 2 at a time.

specific instances. feathers for garuda, last boss in AV, etc. i'd say on most trash mobs in dungeons it's better to just focus down single targets.
tldr: not a lot
Earlier dungeons with a MRD tank it can be ok depending on situation. I've had a few groups where it's worked out well in clearing out trash, but these are the only through Toto-Rak. Later on it's not really worth it and depending on tank, other mobs will be slept.

talking bout dps, but yeah, marauder it doesn't matter since you want aggro on all the mobs, plus more health recovery, etc. and it's what they're good at

rested xp. you gain more xp if you've been logged out in a sanctuary or inn for a while. if it's blue it means you have enough to carry into the next level

It's an experience bonus. You'll get an bonus for every kill until your experience reaches that point.
The longer you were away from the game, the longer the bonus.

I'm in some shitty FC that I only joined for the 5% exp bonus, but they don't even keep that active 24/7. My only friend (the reason I'm on Lamia in the first place) is only like 19.
Hopefully I'll find a legit FC in the next 10 levels, or I'll take the DF plunge.
And I don't want to have to research these dungeons just to do them.
You shouldnt have to to be honest. People not just explaining dungeons or boss battles to those who've never done it before irritate me to no end. The answer to everything shouldnt be "google it!". Its an MMO, up your rep or foster communication with other players damn it.
Kinda ranting at this point, but it sorta threw me for a loop when I asked in shout where Wolf Poachers were in the shroud (conjurer hunting log) and was met with several google it shouts and a tell.

I've actually found PLD to be more effective at maintaining AoE emnity, mainly because they can Flash every 7 seconds indefinitely and just keep recovering their mana. It's easier to use and more effective than the Overpower cone. They won't do a lot of damage, but that makes it easier for the DPS to just go nuts with the AoE and burn everything down.
I was talking about dps as well, not MRD. Early MRD tanks tend to use Overpower a few times, making sleep useless and opens up aoe dmg. Bliz II helps with bind and Swiftcast Fire II helps to do ok aoe dmg to targets, just not as much as single target attacks. This is all based on my experience of leveling THM to 30 btw.
I'm not too familiar with other dps aoe attacks, but at least early on, it seems like a decent option as a thm in a group.
Edit: Some MRD tanks can work with sleep, but I've yet to really party with one as a THM at this point.
