I didn't like Drake initially, and his fans were even worse.

By the time Take Care came out, he won me over. Despite the "soft" music, Drake is just being honest. In this day and age with the bullshit glamour and fake tough guys we lose sight of what it is to see a celebrity as a normal human being. Drake is authentic, and I must say that is honestly hard to find.

Say what you want, but a lot of rappers tried to emulate his crossover blueprint and have failed miserably. He is better than Wayne, and is arguably the best rapper at this moment in time overall.

He is the top guy, just accept it. And don't gimme that Kendrick nonsense......

Nice to see common sense around here

My ninja, Drake stay delivering.

I'm feeling Wu-Tang Forever, that beat is on point, easy riding music. I've never been on the Drake hate train, but was also not really that big of a fan. Take Care was an amazing improvement from his debut, felt like a fully realized vision and actually quite hyped for NWTS. I've enjoyed everything he's released so far. Can't wait to hear the Hudson Mohawke produced song.

The fuck at wu-tang forever. What a misleading name for that track. Son I am disappoint.

Do better Drake. Do better.

I'm really interested in this album though.

How is he being "honest" and "authentic"?

He tries his hardest to project a tough gang banger image. From his videos with tough dudes surrounding him and him being hard to his bullshit "started from the bottom". If growing up in one of the most luxurious neighborhoods in Toronto - Forest Hill - is the bottom, and then becoming a child star is a hard life; then the rest of us must be in some hell hole and have the shittiest lives from the darkest depths.

Fake as fuck.

When has he tried to be a gang banger? I know there's like one line about catching a body, but aside from that I don't get this at all. And "tough looking dudes" surrounding him in his videos doesn't really count. I don't see how a dude putting out songs like Hold On, Marvin's Room or Best I Ever Had is trying to be tough. He's pretty upfront about being a soft, sensitive dude.

You can't argue with them, the sweet irony is people who don't think Drake is "street" enough, even though he never claims to be, have never even fired a water pistol

Yeah, I think a lot of the hate comes from people who don't actually listen to his music. Anecdotally, I have a friend who doesn't even like rap, but who makes jokes about drake being soft because the Internet/reddit does.

Hip hop fans can be terrible, they cry when people from the outside try to box the entire genre into cliche gangsta rap but when someone like Drake comes along they call him soft and compare his street cred to 2pac and laugh

As a hip hop head myself I just SMH and keep it moving

We are also by far the worst fan base when it comes to actually supporting rappers, fans cry when rappers "sell out" but when they weren't they weren't those fans were still illegally downloading their albums

I 100% agree with you. I don't even try and talk about hip-hop with anyone but about 5 friends and my brother, who are as enthusiastic about it as I am, because the ignorance is unreal with others.

On twitter Wu Tang members showing nothing but love for the song, while "Wu fans" are up in arms lol

Hey, everyone is different. People can't not like the song? I listened to it earlier, don't hate it, but nothing special.

Besides, the Wu-Tang tweets just say thank you and "much-love" for naming the song after him.

OP needs to finally learn to take the cornball hyperbole down a few notches, opening with WTT (ye says lotsa shit) and "classic" before you heard it is always unwise

i won't like, though: terry cloth soft or not, drizzy's mixtape & albums so far have all been solid, looking forward to this one

Food & Liquor and The Cool, those are modern classics. This... we'll see.

ya'll use this word without giving it time to have any meaning...none of this shit is classic

chill bro, you've had enough apple juice for the day.

PP this place aint the same without you around bruh

fuck outta here, King of New York rejects your deposit

yeah, i see the homage he was goin for over "It's Yourz" but it's not a good track, kind've a misfire but i can't hate

absolutely, this was way better for me, drake needs to do more stuff with Sampha

jessie ware made sampha relevant

haha, can't pass a chance by to make heads more #aWare eh

Is his kendrick response on the album?

No?

Not interested.

son if this album is as good as Take Care was, that's his response right there

I didn't really have anything to say about it," Drake says of the verse, which has so far inspired responses from A$AP Rocky, Joey Bada$$, former Los Angeles Lakers coach Phil Jackson and too many others to count. "It just sounded like an ambitious thought to me. That's all it was. I know good and well that Kendrick's not murdering me, at all, in any platform. So when that day presents itself, I guess we can revisit the topic.

I thought this was his response...

Of all the people called out by name, Drake is arguably the one who is already functioning at a higher level than Kdot. Whether or not you dig his style, I think it's hard to deny. Dude is a hit machine. He doesn't belong in the same catagory as people like Meek Mill, J. Cole or Jay Electronica (lol). Continuing to do what he already does is all the response he needs.

OT, but when did Flacko respond? Must have missed that.
