I tried to find one for tradeskills/mining but I failed at google.
Guess we have to agree to disagree, since I disagree so incredibly much that the harm is inconsequential. If that were true, then using a glitch that lets you get on top of a building you can't normally get on or something would be just as actionable as abusing an item duplication glitch or something, which is absolutely absurd.

I've never had a problem using positionals as a dragoon. You can lead with heavy thrust and then you have a stun for another positional. That's generally plenty for solo fights.

I played with a tank the other who was on PS3 and bad no KB, so it was tough to communicate since be was using the controller to input chat. I'd say get a cheap USB KB for easier communication at least. Overall, I've read that playing the game on a controller isn't too shabby since there are a lot of customization options.

So right before I head to work I finally get a damn Ifrit's Harpoon. I've been unsuccessful in getting this thing to drop since 1.0, I had seen others including my brother see it drop but I never did, much less actually get the drop until now.

I was having our Bard pull in AK to avoid getting multiple packs, but Provoke works just as well.

That's typically not how they roll. The speed and harshness that they're reacting with is probably a result of the Salvage dupe issue in FFXI, where an ongoing endgame exploit went on for some time before a mass banning when it began to see heavy use; obviously Chimera kills aren't anywhere near the issue that triple drops are, but I can see the logic behind laying down the law early and loud.
Regardless of how much is saber-rattling and how much is actual threat, rollbacks are unlikely.
I liked it far better. However, it needs one of two things going on:
a) Pace of chains being important - this will probably be a thing open-world in the 40s once the Dark Devices well dries up.
b) Tanks needing time between fights to regen - nope, never happening with this game structure due to fast MP and short CDs.

In the incredibly unlikely event they did do roll backs, it would almost assuredly be at the individual level, not server wide.
Combat works fairly well without a controller, at least for Tank and Melee classes. Even if thats what you want to play though, you'll what to pick up a cheap USB or Bluetooth keyboard for communication.
You can get the later on Amazon for about 20usd.

Yeah, it should always be in your rotation. Try to keep it up the maximum amount of time.
Can switch to using only Snap Punch if the target is going to die in the next 10 or so seconds though.
Demolish and Touch of Death add up to some pretty significant damage.

You actually can get flank and rear attacks off when soloing. Just stand real close to the center of the target circle, and quickly move into position and execute your move. If you're quick enough, you get your hit before the server tells the mob to move, so you'll get your bonus damage. Not 100% reliable, but it works often enough to speed up your fights.

Fun fact: Took me a full HQ AF set and 5 command materia III slotted into my accessories to even get the option to synthesize it, and an elaborate 40 step process to get it to HQ.
All to create a 30 minute consumable item ;~;

Shitty thing about food like that - it's a fantastic stat boost, but on any content that's genuinely hard, you're going to burn up a lot of it on attempts to learn it, and once you have it down cold, you don't need the consumable edge any more.
I guess really rich people can afford it on the ah.

Gladiator/Paladin is your typical tank. High damage mitigation. Low damage output. Abundance of defense boosting abilities.
Marauder/Warrior is the "blood" tank. Medium damage mitigation. Medium/high damage output. Ability to drain health and recover HP through abilities.

What's the most EXP you can get from a FATE? I just fought Svara with an army of folks and got a little over 20K! Holy cow, give me more of that!

Experience point bonus if you're on a class that is lower level than your highest leveled class.
I heard the bonus for having a level 50 is 50% but I have no clue if that's right. I haven't seen any hard info anywhere about it.
