Guys what about the following two, which I'm surprised no one has mentioned yet?
Initial D
Betterman
It's certainly outdated in part but the quality of the titles at the top of the list is generally very hard to question. Apparently everyone had great taste (e.g. taste I agree with) back in 2007.
Well there's actually a few really well animated action scenes but that's what youtube is for. Although it is fair to say that, on a whole, the animation is average to bad.
Just wrapped up my second viewing of The Vision of Escaflowne and loved every minute of it.
I'm planning on watching either Evangelion(OG series) again for the second time, or watching RahXephon for the first time. Which one would you go with first?
Well, considering that RahXephon was influenced, in part, by Evangelion it would make sense to start with Evangelion.
You clearly have not seen Legend of Galactic Heroes.
Did I just scroll way too fast, or was Honey & Clover not mentioned? It's a really good slice of life anime. Also, Ghost in the Shell: SAC & 2nd Gig, Azumanga Daioh, Planetes, Cowboy Bebop, Juuni Kokki (12 Kingdoms) and a whole lot more.
Hunter x Hunter (2011)
Only the initial Hunter Exam after that it slides into mediocrity.

Attack on Titan is a lot better than some people are making it out to be. Maybe it doesn't quite live up to the insane hype and popularity, but it's a good show imo, and I look forward to it every week which is something I haven't had with an anime in a long time.
Legend of Galactic Heroes is the best scifi anime of all time.

All deserve recognition for being some of the best anime out there, certainly more definitive than Steins;Gate.

OK guys here's the deal...
Now that I'm going through my anime and looking for new stuff to watch, I'm planning to eventually start getting into Gundam. I have read in certain forums that these are the essential Gundams to watch...
Zeta Gundam
Gundam Wing
Turn A Gundam
Gundam Seed
Any other ones besides these I should be bothered with?
Also, what order should I watch those four in? Should I start with Zeta Gundam first? Then what?
I have seen the Movie Trilogy but haven't watched it about 13 years. Don't really remember anything about it.
I've been meaning to watch this but didn't because it was still ongoing. Is it done yet?Gundam Unicorn is an OVA series that's pretty enjoyable.
Animation is really good too.
Here's a sample fight scene from the beginning of the first episode.
