Yes. It could be anything, including something staring the Mario series characters. For example, Paper Mario, Mario Kart, Mario Golf, and Mario & Luigi RPG (and so on) would be considered "new franchises", because they're not part of the Super Mario Bros. umbrella. Miyamoto said he didn't consider new franchises as needing new characters if other characters fit.

I think from the context of that interview it was pretty clear he meant new a new IP with new characters (or Mii based). That's how I read it anyway.

I think it will be better if you don't use the blur effect but just some simple colour. Think it looks a bit strange now.

I must confess that the blur-effect is inspired by iOS 7, I wanted to create a more "glossy" and open look instead of the old design. ^^

Edit: Should clarify that this is a minor issue. Overall the design, both the new and the old, are impressive.

I just want more Square Enix games on Wii U and I'm pretty sure they will say that the financial failure of Deus Ex on Wii U is due the installbase and there is nothing to blame them, meh.
Besides that I think the GamePad features and extra content could be worth it.

I love all the work they've done for the port. It all makes so much sense for the platform. Straight Right really now how to make existing games work well with the GamePad. So many games would profit from being on Wii U in terms of features and design possibilities which makes it an extra bummer that the hardware isn't selling well which in turn causes fewer games to come but is also caused by fewer games being available ... le sigh.

Smoker, you better edit that "RTS" nonsense out of the TW101 picture! This game has ZERO to do with anything of RTS. It's entirely a brawler. It's like saying Mario World is a racing game. Actually, "Action / RTS" makes more sense for Pikmin 3. It's not a pure RTS either.

And NFS is called Most Wanted U not just Most Wanted.

The rest of this year is looking like an avalanche. No way I can keep up with everything now that Wii Sports and Wii Fit are definitely this year.

They should probably delay Wii Party U until the quiet period in February. Maybe same with Deus Ex, at least people will notice its existence.

I lost my two wii motion plus addons, and haven't bought any remote plus's yet due to their price. Thought about buying some of the cheap third party ones online, but I don't want to deal with sketchy motionplus detection.
